(I'm sorry that I don't remember names here) The nominated man was VERY QUALIFIED for the position because he had been in leadership in NYC on 9/11. However he was disqualified from the running because he had an illegal nanny a few years ago or something like that. What does one have to do with the other? You're talking about Bernard Kerick and he's not a good example to use here. He had some very questionable business dealings for a public official (even by New York standards) and used a Manhattan apartment overlooking Ground Zero to conduct extramarital affairs with two women. The apartment was donated for the use of exhausted 9/11 workers. He was in essence stealing from the workers at Ground Zero and the people who donated the apartment. He's decidely not the kind of person who should be in charge of a large governmental agency. |
