It just seems like the writers are trying to cram together every possible horror trope-- possession, alien abduction, serial killer, slasher, weird Nazi death camp doctor, etc.-- into one barely coherent storyline. The acting is still top notch and it's compelling to watch but it all just seems a bit... much. I hope they tie it all together by season's end.
x2 I almost gave up on AHS this season. But decided to stick it out, since it's only a 13 episode season. We started watching this season and gave up after a couple of episodes because of the same feeling that the writers were trying to cram absolutely everything in and the storyline was pretty much nonsensical. Maybe we'll watch on Netflix once the season is over, but for now I've got no desire to go back to it. |
