new to site (Page 2)

Nice to "meet" you! My dog is a while German Shepherd, "Spirit", with lots of it, so he keeps me going in the last mile when I want to slow down. He and I usually log about 12 miles a week, the other run I do myself. We have several runs, from 1.5 miles to 4. I'm trying to work up to a 5 mile run once a week. Thats the distance I have to run in the triathlon I'd like to do myself in mid June. Let me know how your running is doing! Barbara

Hi, I have a cat, an orange tabby named "Darwin" who sleeps comfortably in the house while I am out doing my exercise, be running, cycling, or swimming. He is not fond of exercise or water...although if truth be known. he hates water with a passion. Why am I talking about my cat if he does not come jog with me? Well, he motivates me in that I put on an extra burst of speed to come home to give him a big honeyboonch hug!

Thanks, but no, the cat in the avatar is not Darwin, it's just a cute picture I found. Darwin is a much bigger fellow and he is orange with long hair....something like a Maine Coon. He looks a lot like the cat at this site: http://www.angelfire.com/cantina/terryann2/flowers/flowers11.html
but he has a lot less white in his fur. I guess that by now you guy have figured out that I really like cats, especially Darwin. By the way I like your avatar...love the hat!
