Enough for what?  Sure, bike more if that's your weakness, but the question is kind of hard to answer without knowing what your goals are.

My goals are to race 2-3 olympic races in the upcoming summer (New Zealand). I have done a few short races so far and always seem to get passed by people on the bike leg, really I just want to get better because the most time gains I feel can be made on the bike when I race.

Out of curiosity...what kind of times do you put up on the bike? Are you averaging 15mph and losing ground to avg cyclists, or are you averaging 22mph but racing against a bunch of serious cyclist?

Also, no one mentioned the fact SUPA has a grand total of ZERO rest days. Would seem to me that if he's cranking up the bike efforts or number of rides as many have recommended, that this could be an issue....

I was just thinking about this during my morning hill intervals. I get the principle, but I wonder if there are times when one would do more to improve their overall standings by "train where you can get larger marginal improvements for the same effort" rather than "train your weakness".

running is not my weakness. swimming is my weakness. But I can shave much much more time off of my overall race by focusing on running. I am assuming weakness is defined relative to the pack.

I definitely look forward to this. I would like to move my bike along. Smile
