What the heck is going on in the stock market?!  I don't follow the market that closely but I've noticed my 401k has lost about 30k recently....and the only thing I can think to blame it on is Nancy Pelosi and the new democrat congress!

Its all wrong its the chinese fault. there market goes down and since we can not live without the help of the generious chinese If they are in trouble we are in trouble.

besides unless your retiring tomorrow it does not matter what the market does unless it goes down and stays down.

I would like to blame the Dems for the losses but then that would make me like the Dems (dishonest) here are the issues the market has been up for a long time e it is time to find an excuse to take some profits. Greenspan talks people listen he says the U.S. economy may go into a rescission people sell stuff. We are a world wide economy what happens to one market effects all markets.  This is no reason to panic if you have stocks reassess each one of them if you believe they are good stocks i.e. good solid companies keep them if not sell them.  As to the 401k don’t change anything based on this dip, determine if the portfolio is a good mix if yes stay with it if no roll it to something else.
