Lauren- congrats on making a good decision, IMO.  There's nothing more therapeutic than spending time with girlfriends, especially after boy issues.  Have a great time in CA and don't think of the ex one bit!  Have fun and shop a lot!  And BTW- awhile ago somebody posted a thread in COJ that was about cheating boyfriends.  It was a website, and the ex-gf could post his name/pic on there.   It's a cheaters database.  It's pretty funny- lemme see if I can find that thread.  It was pretty awesome if you ask me!

I misjudged you. I didn't think you'd do it. I figured you'd go on the trip regardless. I feel you've made the right decision, and years from now you'll look back and say to yourself that "Yes, this was the way to go!" I guess I made a mistake, you're wiser and more grounded in your ability to see the big picture than I gave you credit for. Way to go!

I too followed this thread from a distance, hoping that you would make the right choice. I did not feel it was my place to give you advise regarding your relationship with your boyfriend, his "jerk-off-edness" and the tough decision that you had to make. It seemed like you were getting plenty of solid advise, the same that I would have given you. No sense beating a dead horse afterall. I am just glad to see that you made the wise decision. I believe that years from now you will see the wisdom in your decision. Have a great time in CA with your friends. I hope that your future will include someone truely worth your time and effort.
