Alright folks- 4 weeks out; who is ready? I rode 67 miles yesterday and am heading out for a long run this afternoon. Going in the heat of the day as well to simulate the (probable) weather conditions of race day.

I don't think it does... From the website FAQ:

"If the event is not sold-out online, we will take walk up registrations during athlete check-in hours on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check the registration tab on the website for information on standard entry fees. An additional $25.00 walk-up fee will be charged, along with any applicable Active processing fees."

Well I am finally registered! Excited to be racing another 70.3 this year. I am guessing the swim is going to definitely be a non-wetsuit. Do any of you local guys know what the current lake temps have been?

I'd say it's too early to tell... Last year it was wetsuit legal. This weeks forecast looks like it will keep the reservoir cool enough but next week the temps could shoot up. I'll start checking the weather in earnest starting this weekend.

Looks like they measured it at 78 before the weekend, but nothing so far this week. The temps look mild with cool nights the next few days... Bring your wetsuit just in case!

If there is anyone staying in Anderson the night before the race that would be willing to let me hitch a ride to the race site I would appreciate it. I'm super not creepy and would even pitch in $10 for gas. My wife and kids are going to the race but i'm looking for a way for them to sleep in a bit and drive out during the run.

I registered kind of late so there wasn't much left in the way of hotels; staying at the Motel 6 off exit 226:

2205 East 59th Street
I-69 exit 226

I can check my bike Friday night so all I'll have is my transition bag. Thanks!

IM posted 76.5 deg water temps this morning. Today's high appears to be 77 with a low of 55, but tomorrow is 81/64. There is a chance we will meet the 76.1 wetsuit legal cutoff temp!

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
