All see my other post about the cadence sensor and quick release mounting kit for the FR 305.  It's the best deal I have found so far.

Picked mine up goign to play with it at work in a bit once I get the morning emails done . Will be great to see how my heart rate changes when talking to certain dealers of mine haha..

The kid at best buy in customer service said that they have sold 10+ of them in the last day or two, at one point the stock guy just came up with a stack of them for online pickup  orders.

Anyone debating this should go grab it, and think about it for 30 days as their return policy states.  I have one, and we picked up one for my wife this week.  The price is a great deal for HR and GPS in one, plus the ability to add cadence was a no brainer for me.

Anyone worried about size, it looks like a lot, but grab the quick release armband and you will hardly notice it.  My wife did not get one initially until she could use mine, and I have small wrists and do not feel it is bulky and hers are even smaller and she is happy with it.

Probably my best purchase yet for tris.  It holds me accountable when I am running for sure.  I plan on wrapping up this season then hitting the HR based training in the winter to prepare for next year.

I got mine yesterday and I'm wondering for all those who just got one, what you think about the calorie expenditure accuracy.

I have a Polar and I used it religiously for calorie expenditure. Yesterday I used the Garmin for the first time and the calories were WAY higher than my polar would have been. I rode a route I regularly ride, at a normal pace for me.

Thoughts on which one might be more accurate?

Whichever one is lower . . .

I called customer service yesterday and they told me there are 0 in stock which is why I can't order one. I guess they mean that none of the 5 stores around me have any in stock.

Getting the same thing, two in my extended area(over an hours drive), supposedly they are displays though.  A local manager is looking into creating a PO for them and will honor the price if she can get them in a reasonable time... but no real answer on the what the supply issue is with them.  Found a store in NC with stock, but by the time I had family arrange for pickup... out of stock.

The quest continues for the $129.99 Garmin 305 Forerunner.

The store only about 6 miles from my house is showing them in stock again, was showing none yestreday, as is the one about 20 miles away that I got mine from the other day so it seems that inventory is changing, just keep checking online maybe.

It came out to 137.xx for mine with tax here in GA although it varies by county the two I can go to are in the same county. If anyone really wants one I Can probably pick up one up and ship it which would be about 6 bucks ups probably and we have a daily pickup from my office. Feel free to PM me if anyone wants/needs one, I've got no problem helping someone out who can't get one locally.

Grrrr I ordered one a few days ago and am being told NO stores in Illinois, Michigan or Wisconsin have them. BUNK!

I'll wait for that price.

Amazingly Thursday - Saturday when this price was still available none of the stores in Las Vegas had any. Today (Sunday) when the sale has ended two of the stores have them back in stock.

I hope most of you got in on this.  I had paid $150 for mine at BB a while back, still not too bad.  Ya'll check out my other post about the cheapest I was able to find the Cadence/speed sensor and the quick release mount.  $67.50 delivered in 2-3 days
