Here's another question:  How big of a data plan do you use?  My wife and I are coming back to the US and will be getting iPhones, we just don't know much about the data plans.  Can anyone give me an idea?  We'll be using them to Facebook, check email, espn, maybe a youtube clip every once in a while, nothing major.

Thanks.....27 hours until we leave

Go with Unlimited.  It's like $30 a month.

I wanted to add that the nike+gps app is pretty freaking sweet.

Well worth the $2 in my opinion.

& the myfitnesspal app, fantastic for keeping track of calories/nutrition.

If you're a wine drinker a good one is Pocket Wine.

Explains a lot about all the different wines and builds you a "wine profile"

We're an Android family, but our favorite app is called Our Groceries. It's a grocery list (and there are tons of grocery list apps) BUT this one merges the list from multiple phones. So DH can add stuff to the list and it shows up on my phone. It's real-time, so if he forgets to add something, he still has a chance when I'm in the store. It's just awesome.

Here's a couple of tips:

To quickly scroll to the top of a page on Safari, Facebook, Twitter, etc. tap the very top of the screen where the time is.

To scroll within a text area or iframe that doesn't show scroll bars use two fingers in the area to move it up and down.

To take a screen print simultaneously press the sleep button and home button.

To view the scientific calculator turn the phone sideways.

If you travel out of the country turn off data services unless you don't care if you end up with a large phone bill.

Before you leave, go to your account and turn on an international data roaming package.  I think you can get 50MB/month or 250MB/month for $20 / $40.  Then turn it back off when you get home.  Otherwise the cost is something like $20 per megabyte (!)... and believe me, you'll exceed that in a hurry if you use the maps.

I just wanted to say "WORD" to rowdypaint on the Our Groceries App recommendation.  This thing is AWESOME!!!!  My wife and I don't coordinate very well mainly because I shop and she cooks and she won't make a list for me because, welll I don't really know why she won't, she just won't.  So anyway I never know what we've run out of or not.  So now, we ALWAYS have our phones on us, as I see stuff empty I'll put it on the list and then as either one of thinks of menu items we put it on the list.  Monday I was able to knock out our full week of shopping AND GET EVERYTHING in 45 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thing is the bomb diggity!!!!!!!!!!
