This isn't new, but it may be new to some... do you guys know Pomlamoose? They are so ridiculously cool. I do not know what it is about Natalie Dawn... but WOW. She is disturbingly cute.

My favorite is "September"... that will get you there, they have a ton.

I'll throw Elbow into the mix (wide variety of song types) as well as Gomez (love How We Operate)

The new Shinedown album "Amaryllis" is great from start to finish.

I'm going to be checking this stuff out when I'm off. There has been so much good stuff come out from the alternative/adult/indie scene the last couple of years. I mostly listen to hard rock, but that has gotten a little old. Seems like it is the same old double base machine gun drum line to a buch of screaming... not that there is anything wrong with that... the last hard rock band I was really excited about was mudvayne.

But ya...

Silver Sun Pickups, Cage the Elephant, Muse, Modest Mouse, Foster the People, OK GO, Kasabian, New Politics, Paper Tongues, Paramore, Red Light King, Death Cab, Cinema Club, Broken bells... just a lot of good stuff out there these days.

I get it and agree.  I just listened to a few samples of Pomplamoose.  Reminds me a little of Beth Orton who I really like.  Looks like I have some homework with new music to check out

They just do covers and they dork around sampling and mixing various things to make it all work. Not like a new artist with new material. I just think they are a blast and I can't get enough of Natalie. I'll check out Beth Orton.

It's been out since last year, but I've got to mention Tune-Yards, Whokill (Gangsta, Powa, Bizness, You Yes You, Killa).  Fairly incredible music.

Liked the music but is it really necessary to paint your face like the Joker?

A lot of good stuff out recently.  I am a big fan of Silver Sun Pickups, The Airborne Toxic Event, Death Cab, Portugal the Man, Mumford and Sons....  For new groups, Imagine Dragons (It's Time)  and Group Love (Tongue Tied) have good songs.
