Subject: RE: Talk to me about Austin, TX.I'd say the only real downside here is the summer heat, but my understanding is that Boston gets pretty hot and humid, too, so it won't be THAT much of a change. It just lasts longer here. It gets pretty warm starting in late April, early May, and lasts through much of October. And when we have a REALLY hot summer, you're looking at many, many days over 100 degrees (not like Arizona, though ).
I might also point out that, while Austin is friendly to cyclists, runners, and many types of athletes, we definitely have a high population of good ole boys who have no qualms about buzzing you in their F350 pick ups. It ain't without faults, but it's a pretty nice place to live, especially when you can ride outdoors in January with minimal cold weather clothing.
