Correct. And wear your warm clothes. Going to be a little chilly, but should be finished before the rain moves in.

Haven't looked at the race guide --- Did they switch it up to only one transition area?

They did, although there is some conflicting language in the guide. But I emailed them and they confirmed it is a one transition race.

Have fun getting your bike after the race... That walk up the hill will suuuuuuck... Maybe I'll set up a bike retrieval service for $5/ bike...

Considering making the trek up to Lawrence next weekend to get in a pre-race ride. This will be my first half distance race so practice on the hills seems like a good call, for those of you that have already ridden the course this year...is it marked yet?

It wasn't Saturday. The route is not as complicated to figure out as the map makes it appear. Most turns are obvious because they are at a "T" intersection and you can tell from the map whether to turn right or left or it is a turnaround. A few of the turns are not even turns because you just follow the road or the pavement runs out and you have to turn to stay on pavement. The left hander to start riding southwest away from the lake area is one to watch for but is a major intersection that should be easy to see the road signs. The other one to watch out for is coming back north after the ~40-ish mile turnaround. Do not turn right at the first "Lone Star Lake" sign. Go another mile or two to the top of the next complex of hills and turn right there.
