tmwelshy - 2005-09-12 11:11 AM , though you might need to spit on it while pumping to facilitate this process and induce the leak...

Don't they make some kind of lube or liquid in the special patch kit for this? Of course, if you ride or roll with your phone you can always call someone for help to make it go faster.

I bet she was helping you pump the tire so the pressure could build faster, which would let her get off on her ride more quickly.
If she was just standing there watching you use the hand pump, it would take a lot longer. But some people don't mind those leisurely Sunday afternoon rides.

TriComet - 2005-09-12 10:12 AM

How big was your hand pump? Did you use the quick CO2 cartridge or slowly use the pump for at least 20 minutes? Even better, did anyone else stop to help? The more hands, experience, help the better.

I'm printing this out and taking it home on my ride with me.

Stop taunting me!  Scroll back to the top of the thread where everyone talks about me being an all-around nice guy... not some tire changing perv looking for a quick thrill with a hand pump.

Whatever, you told me you were disappointed in the lack of gutter talk in relation to this thread and wanted Welshy and I to be your partners in crime. *SNAP* someone just got called out!

I applaud vmr719 for stepping up by the way. Excellent.

I did read and even commented on how nice you were. But then I read this.... so don't be claiming innocence now

I belive he wrote me soemthing along the lines of:

"are you just going to let that talk slide. No comments? I'm disappointed. There are 3 people who hijack and turn threads downhill, and this is my thread so I can't do it. Thats leaves you and welshy."

Now, not word for word, but something close.

Sorry Scott. I told you in my reply you can't be innocent in this.

And I received an ASAP call to the boards this morning while I was innocently changing tires... I slid down the welshy pole and everything...

3558- you're just as guilty with this as I was with my "mocking Welshy thread"!

My opinion is....

Ahhhh, screw it...it's too late to get in on the legitimate side of this thread anyway!
