Okay, family obligations and I couldn't get my swim in tonight.  My nephew's wedding is tomorrow so I have to be at the YMCA when it opens at 7:30 AM.  I am going to summon the Power of the Morning Bums Support Group tell help pull my lazy arse outta bed...

Hello morning bums! Tomorrow is Monday and I need to get off to a good start. My goal is to be up and running by 7 a.m. Okay I know that is not early for most of you, but it is for me! Thanks guys!

Mondays are the toughest days for me to wake up early. Tomorrow's challenge is to wake up at 4:45am and be at the pool by 5:30am for the masters program. The bad thing about tomorrow is that it's our coach's last day. The good news is that each one of us is going to bring a different treat for a common breakfast...

Good luck to everyone who needs to get up for his/her (early) morning training!

My next morning workout is Wednesday. Me and a friend are using guest passes to the YMCA to check it out. I have to be up at 5:15 so I can get there at 6. Icky. But now I have BT *and* my friend to be accountable to.

Thanks for checking in guys. I decided to give my leg another day to rest. Tomorrow is track day. I plan to get there in the a.m. to get my workout in. The plan this week is a.m workouts for the rest of the week. I have 3 planned training runs I HAVE to make and Friday is a "rest" day but I plan right now to be up and doing something other than running.

You guys are the greatest!

I DID NOT FAIL. Thought I would for a bit..I'm one mean negotiator first thing in the morning but I didn't fall for any of the seemingly reasonable excuses that I tried. Plus there was no way I was going to write that I failed for all to see. Not a chance!

I did it! (I actually had dreams that I overslept. How weird/insane is that?) And I feel great.

Nice job on getting up and doing it! The great feel at the end is one of the best short-term rewards we can ask for... Keep it up!

OfftheGrid... that avatar is freaking me out!!

p.s. This is my taper week so I haven't had to get up early at all.  That will change after 10/12 when I start my super-short 6-week marathon training for Philly!! I will need youy guys often then.

I am planning to be at the pool by 5:30am tomorrow for the masters. It's getting colder in the mornings now, so getting out of bed is even more challenging... beat me up if I slack tomorrow!

I got up this morning and attempted a run...it failed. However, my leg is feeling a tad better and I'm hoping that tomorrow when I get up it will work.

I suck.

Got up again today, but I didn't run. My left leg still hurts and I have a 15 miler tomorrow (broken up into two segments because we're also doing a 15K race).

I really want to get these a.m. workouts going next week, it's all going to depend on if my leg falls off tomorrow.

OK, I'm going to say this out loud so I can be made accountable. Tomorrow (that's Monday for me) I WILL get up at 5:00am to get my long run in before the days responsibilities sweep me away.

Hound me good and proper if I don't.

Hey morning bums, are we still bumming it?

I've had a flare up of my leg "injury" so I took this morning off. However, I am going to get up tomorrow morning to run. Just checking in with my peeps!!

I am planning on a bike trainer ride tomorrow at 5:00am. It will be tough to leave bed that early - I already know it...

Not at all!  We've been a quiet bunch lately, but I think it's because we're all so tired from getting up early .
