QE hosed part of my long-term investment and retirement tax strategy. It killed the muni bond market. Municipalities were able to call their 20 year bonds early and re issued them at lower coupon rates. My projected 5-7 % return in tax free dollars has dropped considerably. Most munis issued today are in the 3-4% range, not really enough to keep even with inflation. Guess that's good for the overall financial health of the municipalities, which in turn is good for the overall economy. Still, I think it was artificial stimulation that was carried on for far too long. And that QE money didn't come from the QE fairy either. That bill is going to come due some day, right?

A favorite cry from the democrats is class warfare and how the rich are getting richer. All that QE $$ got skimmed off here and there, making a lot of savvy investors(rich people, the Wall St. fat cat, etc.) wealthier. Neither party keyed on this because they likely benefitted from the entire program as well. Everyone except Joe Biden, of course.

No doubt, if you had a seat at the prime rate window at the Fed during the QE years you got rich with very little work.

That’s all I’ve ever wanted to do in life.

Rollin.....Rollin.....Rollin...

Despite the Liberal media's constant barrage of "the bull market may be ending" and blah, blah, blah.....the Nasdaq stands at a record, with the DOW and S&P closing in.  Since last year at this time the Dow is up 18%, the Nasdaq over 20%, and the S&P up 13%.

The economy is blazing,  if you can't find a job you're not looking, an the housing market is booming.

Life is SO bad.

Yesterday the "market is in a free fall dues to tarrifs, the border issues....."

This is a CNN favorite.  Every day the market falls they point to something that the President does and lament the crashing of the markets.  Every day the market has a big gain, like it is today for the DOW, there is not a peep.  Do people really buy into this?  Are readers of CNN that dumb??

Uh.....despite the doom and gloom, my portfolio is even with it's all-time high....and will likely go over it at the close today if the market holds.

Maybe CNN thinks we don't check our balances.  LMAOOOO

I always get a kick out of market reports. Any time it's down, they seem to know the exact reason. Oil policy making investors edgy, tariffs, political saber rattling, you name it. How about we call it like it is? Investors taking profits.

While CNN and the liberal media make big headlines out of any daily market downturn as proof that President Trump is killing our economy......today the DOW is poised to go over 25,000, nasdaq over 7800, and s&p over 2800.  Yeah, he's killing it alright. LMAO

What a disaster this Presidency has been.

Just looking......as the market gets ready to top all time highs in the next few weeks (or days), as unemployment is at it's lowest levels in decades (and ever for minorities), as the Fed continually states how strong our economy is.......CNN's money page has 12 stories at the top proclaiming different doom and gloom scenarios.  HAHAHAHAHA!!!

The liberal media in this country is completely lost......as are most of it's followers.

I'm looking for names to specific MFs. Particularly aggressive growth type funds. There's a million of them out there and I've found some of the best investments I've made are word of mouth, from other people, not brokers. It's a lot to sort through them and find what I want. So i'm asking BT to narrow the search field for me a bit! Then I'll ask the brokers we use for their opinions on them.

Nasdaq just jumped over 7900, dow well over 25000 and climbing, s&p up nearly 1% on strong earnings reports.........I know, let's see if we can criticize the President and  his policies some more.....because we want the economy to fail so we can get him out of office.  Oh wait.....the Democrats already have that as their main platform.

It's a shame that this guy in the oval office can't find a way to help the economy.  Tarrifs, threats to the EU, Russian Collusion, and on and on.....it's just tearing our country's economy apart.  I don't know if you've seen the headlines from day to day but the market is just not doing that great anymore.  /s

Last 12months:

DOW......+17.59 %

S & P.......+14.89%

Nasdaq...... +23.71%

Keep throwing poop at the walls, Dems.......it's working wonders.

CNN reports "Trump just said something truly terrifying"

FOX reports "Trump greets EU chief, says US seeks 'level playing field' on trade"

And the market soars on news of a new EU trade agreement.

Go liberal media!!  More gas please!!!

This was funny:

"Forget porn stars. Forget tapes. Forget evil Vlad and Rocket Man. Forget insulting our NATO partners (whatever that means). Forget that pseudo-socialist with the hyphenated name. Forget Mueller, sleazy Strzok , Adam "Leaker" Schiff, Fingers Clapper, Knuckles Brennan, Rocko Rosenstein, or any of the sordid crew. Forget even Twitter! (well, maybe). By comparison, those are all sideshows. As everyone knows, in politics, "It's the economy, stupid!"

Or, put another way, "It's the art of the deal." And that's what came through today and then some. This is the most significant moment of Trump's presidency since the tax law passed -- and he's had plenty, more than any president of any of our lifetimes if you actually think about it."

They know that if the economy stays strong thru the elections in November they (libs and the MSM) have little chance of gaining power.
