Yeah, Gilly let's contemplate a "Grand Champion" over the next few weeks.  It doesn't matter too much though since I'll be winning this thing!

Welcome to the challenge spiritfire!  Make sure you stick to your plan but miss one more workout a week than I do!  Just keep posting your weeks here and let us know how you do.  Good luck.

OK guys - I've had a really bad week. I've been laid low with a nasty throat virus and then some evil headaches. I've wiped out last week's training and I don't want to put pressure on myself to rush back into training (although I'm going mad with frustration at not training -- especially this weekend when the weather was lovely!).

So my revised plan for this coming week is to train once in each discipline and then do one set of core work.

With a bit of luck, and a lot of oranges, I'll be fit, healthy and back to full training the following week.

Keep fighting Gilly.  Heather (Gator) was sick last week too.  I made all of my scheduled workouts (thanks to you guys) except for a scheduled yoga class.  So, I was 91%. (10 for 11).  Let's see where Spirit Fire and Sherm ended up.  Since Heather and Gilly were sick you get a doctor's note!

OK, so suggested signature lines to be updated each week:

I nailed my training this week in the Stick-to-the-Plan challenge
Total weeks on-plan: 1 (out of 1 week)

I'm off sick this week in the Stick-to-the-Plan challenge

I lost focus this week in the Stick-to-the-Plan challenge
Total weeks on-plan: 0 (out of 1 week)

What do you think??

I only made 7 for 9 sessions last week, as I too was suffering a bit of a cold. However, since I joined the challenge on Thursday, and went 2 for 2 after that - can I call it 100% ?? hahaha ;-)

I have a question - I have some "tentative" workouts scheduled (designated with a 't' beside them) ... there's usually only 1 or 2 a week ... if I don't make those - do they still count? I make them tentative because I work 32 hrs/week, go to school full-time, and have the responsibilities of a single home/dog-owner ... I find sometimes I go a bit crazy put too much pressure on myself (like scheduling 15 workouts/week).

This is my sched for this week:

Mon - a.m. yoga (t), p.m. Spin with tri club
Tues - run 6K, 30 min easy swim
Wed - a.m. yoga, p.m. Spin with tri club
Thurs - 30 min easy swim
Fri - run 40 min
Sat - strenght, total body
Sun - run 3-5K (t), Group Fit class

Depends I guess on how sick you felt you really were... Ultiamtely it's your call SpiritFire - sick note or 100% or joining Rob

And I don't think your tentative workouts should count. You've got a balanced plan without them, so they're really added extra -- which does mean they also don't count if you do them

It's the plan, the whole plan and (more or less) nothing but the plan for this challenge!

I like the taglines/signatures for the challenge - I'll be in, should I ever qualify. ;-)

Oh I wasn't expecting my sick time to count/not count ... I was being a smart- saying that since I joined the challenge on Thursday, and did both my scheduled workouts on Friday and Sunday - does that count for 100%? ... I'm a smart- ... I can't help myself. I type before I think. ;-)

Well I can assure you I won't be winning this week! I've totally lost focus - it's only Wed but I've missed half my workouts already! Work and Schoolwork is starting to stress me out ... slipperly slope, that stress - I know if I train I'll feel better, but I'm too stressed to train! lol

Get back in the gym Spirit!  Even if you only go for a shorter time and do half your workout you'll feel better maybe slip upslope!  Is that even possible!?

Well I did make it 66% this week - I managed to pull out 6 for 9. ;-)

Here's my sched starting tomorrow:

Mon - yoga in a.m. (t), Spin with tri club
Tues - 8K run
Wed - swim 30 min, Spin with tri club
Thurs (work) - hill repeats a.m., run 40 min
Fri (work) - run 30 min, core work
Sat (work) - off day!
Sun - Hatley Castle 8K (race), Group Fit

However here's my latest issue: I'm currently taking a Group Fitness Instructor course, and was just told that I need to go to two classes a week in order to become certified. So ... somewhere's I gotta find time to go to aerobics/fitness classes! Life is just too crazy busy right now - I don't have time for a single yoga class this week!

OK well here's an issue ... I'm just royally teed-off and need to vent a bit ... so I rearrange my entire workout/school schedule to fit in these "mandatory" fitness classes that I have to go to in order to get my Instructor Certification ... and today I go to a class, and the instructor doesn't show up! Now I have to re-rearrange my entire schedule - again - to fit in another class somewhere. And I feel as if I've wasted a perfectly good 1st half of the day (2nd half is already spoken for by Spin).
Frustrating, huh. I work so hard on my schedule, making sure I have time for everything ... and I'm very protective of it, it would seem. ;-)
Thanks for the venting session. lol

I made my recovery week -- but it was down to this challenge. I had a really hectic weekend and normally the bike session would just have disappeared in the choas, but with this challenge in place I made the time and got it done. Yay!

Unfortunately my focus has already dipped and I missed my swim last night - I'm unlikely to make it up because of childcare arrangements but I'm determined not to let any others drop off. And then next week is going to be doubly difficult because I'm away on business and I almost never manage to train when I travel...

Whoot Whoot Whoot (is that better??)

Forced myself along to swimming training last night and am really glad I went -- I need to remember more often that I like going, even when I don't want to go. So far for the week, I'm down one swim and one run, but I can make the run up by the weekend.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Sherm and Gator are very quiet and there are quite a lot of missing signature lines...
