Didn't want to hijack the other thread, but we are also in the process of naming our soon-to-be new puppy, and we can't settle on a name. She is a golden retriever, and we pick her up this Saturday.

I like Dakota as a name; my wife likes Sailor (which is the father's name, and I thought it was wierd to name a female puppy the same name as her father).

Any suggestions?

IMO most creative dog name evah was my sister's name for her black lab
