Hey CHR15 aren't you rooting for the wrong team? Great Roubaix photos. Your backside recovered yet!!! Hey guys wait till he starts posting his pics. CHR15, think we should have a side competition as to which thread posts the most pics. Did you see Frank jump off his bike the other week? |

Extreme Veteran 335 Herriman, Utah | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread I indeed am a Star-Spangled boy -- boring for this team, I know! -- but I did live in Switzerland and France for almost two years. Does that make me international? I've also been to Niagara Falls (ketchup chips, mmmmmmmm) and to Tijuana (chunky water, mmmmmmmmm). OK, another question for ya: So how do you determine who wins if multiple teams (besides us, of course) hit 100 percent? I'm thinking I might really want to challenge myself and add some short between-workout rides just for fun. I signed up for 10 stages and 150 miles (a lot for me) ... is that too wimpy? |

Master 1688 ALSAGER, CHESHIRE. UK | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread CHR15, what sort of target is 1380 mins? 21 stages, that's just over an hour a stage. You're getting soft man. Might beat me mileage wise though, on your FLAT rides. Just one pic to repay the compliment. (With clothes on this time!)

Get used to this Jersey it will be at the front of both the Challenge and The Tour! I just sent him back Stuart O'GRady - I figures the scariest cyclist to send after anyone would be him? Champion 5615 | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread I smell DY-NAS-TY!!! That's dynasty, not "da nasty". With July being my big month for IMKY bike training, the challenge couldn't have come at a better time. I'm even kicking off the tour tomorrow with a 112mi bike ride. And I even get to be on a team with the internationally renowned hottie herself, Cat. Sweet.

I'm Bob, and I'm glad to see Cat included me on a winning team! I asked to be on CSC because I just got a Cervelo P2SL, rode it once, then on my 2nd time on the bike did an Olympic on it this past Sunday! Good way to break it in! LOL! I have another race coming up in 2 weeks. Now I have to check out for about a week - we're heading on holiday tomorrow for a week to the beach, and I'm not sure if I'll have a connection or not. The bike is coming with me, so I should be able to get plenty of riding in, and I'll post my results next Sunday or Monday! Have a great week - and good luck in the Prologue! Welcome Bob Cool bike, you know they say not to try anything new the day of the race! Have a great holiday but don't forget the challenge! Well I never claimed to be smart! It was also my 2nd time (1st race) in a wetsuit! I figure I can only get better from here... |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread Hi Team, Just a reminder that when talking about events in the actual Tour De France there is a 24 hour ban on posting about recent action from the French roads in either your own team thread or other teams. This is because a lot of people have to work while the live coverage is on which means they do not get the chance to catch up on what is happening in the roads of France until later in the day. If you do want to chat about the event in France there is a Tour De France forum located here: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/forum-view.asp?... for the duration of the event. Otherwise Im usually hanging out in beginner chat whenever I have live stage coverage as well... and always happy to chat Tour with ANYONE and EVERYONE! Cat |

I let more than one team take victory... Im not that mean!!! And then a year later the teams remember they won, and not who else did and each claim victory for the preceding year... could make for some interesting banter when this thing heats up! |

Extreme Veteran 335 Herriman, Utah | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread Well, I'm officially off and riding! I got my first ride -- prologue is it? -- in this morning. My goal/plan was just a nice, easy 10-miler -- coming off of a longer (for me) ride yesterday -- but I threw in some decent hills and added a couple of extra miles to stretch it to 12.5 miles. For fun, I turned it into a modified brick and ran another 3.5 miles. I just have to find my way to the pool this afternoon, and I'll have my own personal Tour de France kickoff tri! Good luck everyone! |

I figured training + lack of sleep + middle of winter I might have to play it safe this time around! |

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread Woo hoo! Super Cat Tour Master's team! Go Schlecks! I'm Bill, and I think I said I was in for 12 stages. Miles and minutes? I'm not sure. I've pieced together a training plan for the next three weeks, so we'll see. I'll be getting my first ride in on my 07 Masi Gran Corsa this afternoon, but this Wimbledon final is stalling that a little. Hopefully, I'll be doing my last few stages this month on a tri-bike that I'm building. Almost all the parts are here! |

Expert 1024 | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread Well, if there can be multiple winning teams, then I guess I have to take back my earlier comments. I figured there would be some tie breaker based on who went over the most or who got to 100% the fastest. So all we have to do is get everyone to their goal. Is there some way to give team mates miles if you go over? I admit I haven't read the main thread to know all the rules. I did, however, start my challenge goal with 50 miles this morning. Which is 1/7th of my overall goal. |

Nope your a TDF cyclist... you have to finish what you signed up for... having said that I have included up front a clause for it people get sick or injured so that should make it more balanced if someone does have difficulty. |

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: CSC Saxo-Bank Team Thread And we're off.... sort of. Thunderstorms on a Sunday afternoon? C'mon. Stage 1 for me was done on the trainer, with a mile brick to keep it all triathlonish. It's time for a beer and Stage 2 on the Tivo. Saxo-Bank.... awesome. I hold tight to my adolescent sense of humor. |
