Hi Mila,

I checked out all your pics and I *heart* your pretty bike too   In fact, it is uber pretty. Did you get it custom made?

I am presonally the fan of color yellow - yellow Mustang, yellow bike, yellow helmet, yellow jersey

 Juliana

It's alllll about the accessories!  Thanks... the bike is not custom, I have just collected a few pink things along the way.  I recently had to change out my frame (it was a warranty thing so I didn't know exactly what frame I'd end up with) and my biggest concern was that it might not match all of my pink things.  Fortunately it worked out just fine .

Hola peeps.  I've been out of town...looks like we have a pretty good team here.   Haven't had a chance to ride in a few days, but can't wait to get started on the challenge.  Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th!

Hey, y'all. (Not Southern, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express just get back from visiting my folks in Alabama.)

I'm Cindy, lifelong Alaskan, perpetual college student (theoretically graduating this year), mid-level Jill-of-all-trades worker bee, and in for 300 minutes across 10 stages because I am slow and out of shape.

Also, I'm digging the jerseys. If I had just a titch more free time, I'd SO be making my own.

Hmm...I wonder what color that would be?

Missed my morning workout again (NO Mila, it's not fo the reason YOU'RE thinking ).  I'm gonna leave work a little early today, and should be able to get in a 30 min bike ride after work...(my stage 2)...

There's so much I could say in response to your "morning workout", or lack thereof, but I'm trying to pretend I'm well behaved .

Any semblance of Mila having a reputation of being 'well behaved' went out the window LONG ago...

Hi Cindy!  The jerseys are very cool... I think you might have to readjust all those other things you have going on in order to make them... it's all about priorities

Oh, and btw, I did complete stage 1 with a total of 31 miles.  I'll be completing two stages tomorrow (looking at somewhere between 30 and 40 miles) and I have both a short and long ride planned for this weekend.  I am right on track!!

This is probably a good time for me to mention I don't like to not win challenges.  Don't make me break out my (pink) whips.

No need for the whips, lady (although they ARE at least pink.)  Stage 1, done and dusted.  Pathetically low mileage, but DONE all the same.

We've all started somewhere... just keep at it and you will be longer and further little by little!

Hmmm, pink whips...I'm not sure if that is encouragement to ride or to skip a few rides.

I got in my second stage last night and am up to 69 miles.  I doubt I'll be riding again until Sunday.

Finished stage 1 yesterday and will get stage 2 in tonight.

I'm like you, Mila, I don't take well to not winning.  It seems like we have a solid team here, so I'm not worried, especially if you have the whips in reserve -- just in case.

Heh, funny, that seems to always be the response to my pink whip threats

Nice!!!  I've got three stages in and should be well over the hundy mile mark by next week.  I'm riding long on the SCT on Sunday, Jay, if you are interested and aren't planning to race/jockstrap in 'Nooga.  The rest of you are welcome, too, but you have to pay your own way to the ATL .

Yes, exactly, just in case... and if worse comes to worse I'll scrounge up a pink cattle prod or something .
