I have a fractured shoulder right now and will be seeing my doc on 8/31 to find out when I can run again. I can set a swim (one-armed) and bike (trainer) goal for now - can I add a running goal after my appointment? After a month of recovery, it will be great to have a challenge to get back at it! Put me on the chatty team Artemis is on I need the motivation! No problem. I've added you to the spreadsheet with goals "TBD" (To Be Determined). Hope your recovery goes quickly! - Dee |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: September FOUR IS MORE Challenge Announcement D001 - 2008-08-18 9:41 AM Slugger - 2008-08-18 5:04 AM I'm all about a challenge but do we absolutely have to use the BT tracker? I suppose the question is, do you trust me? Well, do you? It's not so much a matter of trust as it's a matter of this being BT so I feel that we should support the BT systems. (And yes, I do check people's spreadsheet totals against their BT logs, especially when someone questions a team's numbers.) Also, entering your totals in BT will allow your teammates (or competitors) to track your progress. (This is a team challenge, after all.) How about this: You can log your training on your other tracker, but put the overall totals into your BT logs. So, for example, you end up with a total of 2000 yards swimming: just enter "2000" into your swim totals. You don't need to break it down any further. Or, if it's easier, you can also summarize it by week, and just enter your weekly totals onto BT. That way, your teammates and anyone needing to verify your totals will see what you've done. - Dee Okay, thanks, I should be able to manage that. I need to get my feet healed up () and then figure out where I'll be starting and where I can go. Can I be on team cattle prod? I need an over-competitive, win-at-all-costs, we-are-the-champions type team that will kick my booty into gear. Chatty is good, in that drill sergeant sort of way! LOL Injuries and the constant rain this summer have sapped all my internal motivation, and I need to go find it again. Thanks! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: September FOUR IS MORE Challenge Announcement wgraves7582 - 2008-08-20 1:22 PM How many challenges can I enter in 1 month? Oh well I am in 125 running (back to school - might as well keep it the same) 750 Biking with 16 Commutes 12 swim sessions 12 weight sessions I am not real chatty so I would prefer a team that does not talk at all - anyways I would hate to catch Dee or TinkerBeth in my first year here! Some day I will figure out these dumb color changes also - good thing I know how to operate a computer! Hey, that reminds me.... IT"S BEEN ONE YEAR SINCE I JOINED BT!!!!!!!!! Happy BT Birthday to me! Happy BT Birthday to me! Happy BT Birthday dear Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..... Happy BT Birthday to me! (Amazing how much post padding is possible in a single year. But with posts like this, well, you can see how it happened.) (Although having Beth around... well, we already know everything is her fault. ) |
