Subject: RE: Do you eat for fuel, desire, or both (on average)+Well...coming from an obese family background, I tend to lean towards eating to fuel my workouts. But I will occasionally allow myself some "desire" eating, at times. But I'm a fairly regimented person...my breakfast has pretty much stayed the same for the past 3 years - 8oz Weight Watchers Yogurt w/tsp of ground flaxseed and 2 tsp of Kashi Nuggets cereal, 1 slice of whole grain toast w/natural PB, and 12 (yes I actually count them ) frosted bite-size mini-wheats. Lunch varies, depending on what I'm in the mood for and how much time I have. Normally it's either a 1/2 turkey sandwich, a bowl of oatmeal, a salad, a baked potato w/cottage cheese, or some scrambled eggs. My morning snack is usually 12 almonds, a small handful of walnuts, and a small handful of dried cranberries...or some pretzels and another yogurt. I work evenings, so dinner/evening snack is a packed meal...usually a frozen Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice meal, an Activia yogurt, an apple or banana, and a low-fat cheese stick. Sometimes I'll substitute a salad or a bowl of cold cereal, if I'm in the mood for something lighter. Not much variety, I know...but it works for me. On the weekends, I tend to be a little less strict...plus I actually have to cook a meal or two for my hubby, so that changes things up a bit. |
