Master 1790 | Subject: RE: Team Comet - Dec. Limiter Challenge woke up with a sore throat today, so no swimming. DRAT! and I guess I overdid the weight training yesterday because my left quads and piriformis are killing me. hope to get in the pool tomorrow to make my 3 sessions this week. |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Team Comet - Dec. Limiter Challenge Dropped the kids off at school, swam and was in the hot tub by 8:30am chatting with all the older folks at my Y. Now to get fired up to do 5K time trial later this morning. Come on folks...swim! As the holidays approach we are more busy and pool hours can be a bit odd with limited hours, closings and more kid hours as they are off school. Better to get extra swimming early in the month. |

Master 1790 | Subject: RE: Team Comet - Dec. Limiter Challenge LeahDD - 2008-12-02 6:10 PM I would like to do two HIMs in 2009 and then a full IM in 2010 (in Nice, France). From what I have seen perusing the boards, you all seem like really neat supportive people. I'll volunteer to come cheer you on in France, provided I can slip myself into your luggage. ;-) |

If I haven't run into you yet my name is Melissa and I am very, very post happy. My goal is to get in 4 runs a week. I am off to a good start with 3 early morning runs. Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Team Comet - Dec. Limiter Challenge Oh and I had something really weird happen while at the pool. Midway through my swim another guy hopped into my lane - which is fine, I justed moved to one side. He was heading directly down the middle though and I'm thinking "wow he's gonna ram me." At the last second he goes under the lane divider into the next lane and continues to swim there. He kept popping back and forth between lanes to avoid passing by the person in the lane. I wanted to tell him it was ok just keep to one side I wouldn't mind, but I really didn't want to break my rythym. Quite bizzare |

Quite bizzare Strange guy, it would be more aggravation to flip flop lanes the whole time
I signed up for my OLY Aug 2 I'm soooo looking forward to conquering this course decently! (I did a sprint in that lake as my second ever tri and had a panic attack in the frigid water) |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Team Comet - Dec. Limiter Challenge Melissa, you look AWESOME! Keep up the GREAT work! Hey guys, meant to mention this yesterday - several of you had put down x# of swims per WEEK, and I changed that to per month. So check your goals to make sure they jive with what you intend to do - they might be off one or two depending on your schedule. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!! |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Comet - Dec. Limiter Challenge Hi-ya Reinys, I just took a peep at the table and it has me down for swimming. I plan on getting some swimming done this month, but I was planning on having running be my focus. I don't have $90 to spend at the pool right now... Because my memory is spazzy I checked the original thread and this is what I came up with. mchally - 2008-11-18 9:17 PM hmmm
I am going to go with running. My goal will be 4 runs a week-and they need to be on different days. Is this a swim only team? I would be happy to add a swim in once a week. |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Comet - Dec. Limiter Challenge I went through my wandering thought process and have decided that, because my other challenge reinforces running workouts, I will sign up for 6 swim workouts here. I have been avoiding the local pool due to both money, sneezing, and the limited amount of time I could put in. $5 is a little much for 20-25 minutes of swimming. Especially if it leaves you sneezing for half the day. |

hmmm-how do you respond to the fact that I wear 2+ suits while swimming due to the extensive wear my swimsuits have experienced? They are from back in high school and were used for 4 years of swimteam. Besides-why pay for a drag suit? I have a tri suit for races. |

My doc prescribed some allergy nasal spray (safe for long term use) and now I feel great! Before the meds I totally didn't want to go near the pool. |
