It beats the post-it notes I have on my desk with everyone's name on it! What do I do? Cut and paste it into my log? I am hungry. I figure I can eat 2500 calories today and still lose weight. And I am still hungry!!! It's not like I am starving myself! And I still need to go home and ride that trainer... I can do this. If you hit quote to respond to the message that has the table in it, you can click it, and copy. Then you can go into your goals section of your log and just paste it there. The links will work from your blog but not from the forum here that will take you to each individual log. Hope that helps. |

Veteran 157 Rainy WA | Subject: RE: Team Dancer - Dec. Limiter Challenge I ate to plan yesterday! I sure notice that I sleep better when I don't give in to the after-dinner munchies. I suppose my stomach isn't in overdrive trying to process all that food! Well done to everyone with your first day successes. Good luck to us today! Mary |

And I am still hungry!!! It's not like I am starving myself! And I still need to go home and ride that trainer... I can do this. I'm always hungry. Esp. when I am training a decent volume (unlike now). But sometimes you just have to ignore it, otherwise, you'll end up eating more than you actually need. I used to drink a lot of water and that seemed to help. Need to get back into that habit.
I find that high fiber, complex carbs and whole foods help me. They are very filling. My limiter is also nutrition. And the biggest limiter on my limiter is eating fast food. So my challenge is no more than one day a week of fast food. If I cook and eat at home, I eat better quality food and I'm not as hungry. |

I don't eat much heavily processed food at all, actually - because I know a lot of things are processed to an extent, but in some cases its unavoidable, like crackers, cereal and bread. Unless I make crackers from scratched, they're gonna be processed. But in those instances I buy whole grain/multigrain products from brands that don't use a lot of additives and preservatives. Meat is always fresh when I buy it and the most I'll do is frozen veggies only because I'm single and it's more economical to buy them so they don't go to waste. And I don't buy the kinds in sauce, I don't buy frozen dinners, etc. I don't buy junk food either except as a rare treat. Still always hungry... Edited by wurkit_gurl 2008-12-02 2:48 PM |

I'm impressed. Training makes me insanely hungry. At the tail end of September, I developed tendonitis in my left knee from training for the Marine Corps Marathon, which I consequently had to pull out of. Since then I've not been running or training much at all. But my metabolism still seems to think I need the same amounts of food. So I am ALWAYS hungry and then I eat more than I'm burning off. And even though I don't eat crap, I haven't been eating particularly balanced lately, due to life crap. |

I am allowing myself to eat a lot more food... most of it very healthy. Some days I just go on junk food binges and I think it has a lot to do with not eating enough. It is just a bad cycle to be in. I did get through today. I feel pretty good. My workouts have benefited from the better eating...that is the goal. Better nutrition=better training.

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Team Dancer - Dec. Limiter Challenge Hi team! Sorry I haven't checked in yet. I just got home from vacation (was in Playa del Carmen, Mexico for Thanksgiving). Anyway, my name is Jen. My goal for this month is to do PT every day (or whatever my doc and PT tell me to do this week). I tore my left medial meniscus during the Marine Corps Marathon on 10/26, so I am doing my best to recover. I may end up having to have surgery - I follow up with my doc tomorrow and then have another PT appointment on Friday. Whatever happens, I want to follow the plan for every day in December. So far, so good. |

And even though I don't eat crap, I haven't been eating particularly balanced lately, due to life crap. Ugh, I know EXACTLY what you mean. In grad school, I was fencing three times a week and running five times a week, so I could eat something like 2500-3000 calories. Then, I busted up my ankle one day in fencing practice and boom - no more exercise. I went from 2500 calories to 1200 instantly. OMG did that hurt! I was hungry constantly, thought about food non-stop, etc. It really drove home just how important exercise is for us. Not only does it take up time when we CAN'T eat, but it lets us eat like normal humans the rest of the day. It also drove home how important it is to do everything i can to stay injury free (not easy for a klutz like me!) |

Subject: RE: Team Dancer - Dec. Limiter Challenge Morning teammates Bike session #2 on tap for today, either spin class or trainer ride, depending on how I feel. I like that spin keeps me engaged, but I also don't love all of the instructors and Wednesday's evening instructor is sort of a slave driver and I'm pretty tired from long days the past couple of days, which I'm not back to being used to yet. |

Veteran 157 Rainy WA | Subject: RE: Team Dancer - Dec. Limiter Challenge I was borderline last night for food after dinner. I think it was because I didn't eat enough during the day--not my usual problem! So I can't count last night toward my 20 planned days of eating. But today will be better! Hope your day goes really well, teammates. |

I am glad your eating improved yesterday. I forgot one of my foods for today and am trying to convince myself to eat something bad...as long as I stay within my calories, I am okay. I have been making real good choices though. I have already lost two pounds and it has only been three days! I am hoping for a ten pound loss this month.
