Morning all- this is a drop back week for me so I am going a little stir crazy, but my legs are still a little sore from the race I did on Sunday (or it could be just generalized soreness from a pretty heavy workout week last week)

Plan is for a short run this evening when I get home from work.

katie.

i gets all squirrly with drop back weeks too.

take care of those sore legs of yours.  i always find working out, ever so lightly works best.  a short run sounds just right

what was your race?  we wants details there missy.

That is totally suckish!  I never appreciate having the lakefrom to run on until I hear about what others have to contend with.

I'd love to run there!  I love Chicago!  Everytime I'm there (I have family in the suburbs) I wish I could run there.  It's fabulous!

I am done with my first bike workout of the month.  What a total sweat fest!  I watched my Race Day dvd that came with my trainer.  What a kick in the pants!  It's the second time I have done it and I sweat more and more each time!  Does anyone have any of the Spinerval dvds?  If so, what do you think of them?  I want to try them out but they aren't cheap.  I wonder if I can rent them.  I'll have to check Netflix too.

ETA:  Sweaty TOPpage!

ANOTHER sweaty indoor trainer trng session.

WOO HOOO FOR YOU!

i hardly ever break a sweat when im on the indoor trainer.  i need you to come and work me out!

i have no idea about the Spinerval DVDs, so's i cant help you out there.

i spared myself the dizzy dome experience, and did my 38 min run on the TM instead.  as if thats any better.  LOL.

i got to the Y a little later than usual, and the silver sneakers had already taken over the track.  god love em.

i had a very pleasant run.  i almost kept running, but remember i have a LONG ride tomorrow and a long swim to still get in this week, so i packed the extra energy away to save for another day.

i hadnt expected to have a decent run today, what w the past few days and how BLECH i felt.

i was fully prepared to have to cut it short but i felt great.

that was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise.

hope to tick off some of my CYCLING HOURS tomorrow.

HERE COMES THE SUN doo-doo-doo-doo......

On a different swimsuit note, I think it is time to retire one of mine. When I washed it the other day it is looking a bit threadbare.   Just what I don't need is a transparent suit!   Time to go shopping!

We live less than a half mile from the school.  It takes me 3 minutes even getting stopped at the light.  Yeah, I'm not sure what the headache thing is.  Got an e-mail from his teacher yesterday saying he was complaining of a headache all day.  Same today.  Maybe time to get his eyes checked again?  Maybe he just doesn't want to be at school!

It was an 8K called the Shamrock Shuffle...and let me tell you if you don't like cold, windy and snowy than it was not for you...we ran in 2-3 inches of slush...but it was fun because they close down a lot of downtown chicago streets and you get to run on them!

HEY i ran a SHAMROCK SHUFFLE TOO.

nothing like your shamrock though.

beautiful sunny day.  and hills, hills and more hills.  thats WESTERN PA for ya.

as for cold, windy, snowy, slushy.your right NOT the race for me.  but more POWER to you!

my friend in the Army would say that the cold, wind, snow and slush is the SUCK factor and every run/race needs a certain amt of SUCK FACTOR in order for you to become a better runner.

i guess thats why HEs in the ARMY and im NOT.  AND he can run circles around me.

i like to keep my SUCK factors to a minimum thank you very much.

your race sounds AWESOME though, and to be able to run through downtown HOW COOL IS THAT!

im taking a 10K marathon relay leg and i get to run through my favorite sections of the city of PGH, im totally jazzed about that.

and its in MAY, so hopefully no snow

global warming you never know.
