I wouldn't do it personally. If you go into your first HIM unprepared, that can mess with you psychologically if you plan on doing another one in the future.

I was looking at your logs, you look solid on the bike, as well as the swim, but I see very few runs, let alone runs of any real distance. The run part would be your issue. If you think you can get through the run portion, even with lots of walking, and you have plenty of time to heal up afterwards, go for it. Know you won't be blazing time on the clock, but I think you'll be fine on the swim and the bike. Just take the run easy, with the goal of just finishing. You should be able to walk the 13 miles in 4 hours. :45 on the swim, 3:15 on the bike, and 4 hours on the walk, all including transition times, and you are in at the time limit. You can definetly improve on the bike and the run times, and maybe a little on the swim time, and be in great shape.

Just remember, don't kill your self out there, and have fun. If you are not having fun with this, dont't do it.

My suggestion would be to do a trial instead.  It sounds like you want to do it, but might not be ready.  Instead of just entering the race, and spending the money, make up your own.

X2... I did my first marathon in just a few weeks notice just to learn to see how it feels. Its not about winning on your first long race but seeing how your body feels and getting the feel for the distance events. I think you should go for it and take it easy and have fun and enjoy the people during the race . I did comment earlier but I found myself talking too negative about the other people who were telling you not to and it was a huge downer.
