I have decided to go with the nutrition tracking as my goal (Dee- is that ok?) My goal is 25 out of 30 days. I am giving myself a 5 day leeway because who really wants to list everything they eat on Thanksgiving and I am sure there will be a day or two that I jjust plain forget! Sure, a nutrition goal is fine. But I know better than to do something like that during November. I have 1 1/2 packages of Halloween candy left over, and Thanksgiving is coming up. I already know what my nutrition this month will be. |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Team 1 - November You-Pick-It Challenge Hey Team! Apparently Dee thought I was a good fit on this team. Not really sure why I'm Neal. Just entering my second off season. The emphasis for November will be swimming. I am in for 35000 yds, which will be a record month for me. I am also trying to maintain 100 miles/month running over the winter so that is going to be the second goal. It's nice to see a lot of familiar faces in here and I look forward to meeting the rest of you! Let's have a good month! |

I went on ahead and added my goals to the team spreadsheet... 5/6/7 sessions of swim/bike/run... no not all as bricks, separately... This will be the first time in over 5 mths that I will actually HAVE to work out more than half of the month... haven't even come close to that since April or May *disclaimer... I put it as "run" however, I've only recently gotten clearance to "jog" -and only on grass, so these will actually be walk/jog sessions. Let's get movin'!!!! |

I'm Cheri -- I've been on teams with some of you before, and looking forward to getting to know all of you. I'm biking and running this month, although most (if not all) of my biking will be early in the month. Next Saturday I'm riding the Tour de Vie -- a metric century ride to raise money for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) research. My Dad passed away from this disease nearly four years ago, so this is something near and dear to my heart. But after the metric century, I'll probably need a little break from riding! |

I do most of my swimming at the Ames racquet and fitness center. The bonus there is that it's only about a half mile from my place so I really have no excuse not to go. Our tri club has used the pool at the Forker building on campus, but our schedule hasn't worked out for our fall sessions. Unfortunately we are kind of on hiatus until we can find a place to swim. *pool shortage toppage* Edited by disturbed275 2009-11-01 3:50 PM |
