I asked him what he wanted for dinner. I told him he could have anything at all, whatever he wanted. He thought about it for awhile and told me he'd like to have 2 Hot Pockets for dinner that night. I think I'll order a pizza for the rest of the family. That is great!!! Would you like a Hot Pocket, too, Bill? Nah - I had enough Pizza this weekend! We ended up with a sheet pizza extra after our b-ball banquet and we got to bring it home - pizza it is!!! I feel bad because I only have 2 small gifts for him. My baby is turning 10, I really wanted to get him something nice. What he REALLY wants for his birthday doesn't come out until the 14th, it's a new game for his DS. He knows it isn't out yet, so I might just cut out the picture and put it in his B-Day card or something and we'll get it when it's released. |

Life (and my mood) was weird this past week. Nothing horrible but totally unmotivated and unfocused. I was also out of town all weekend with limited computer access. On the bright side, I ran yesterday while we were at my brother-i-L and sister-i-L's. Unfamiliar area and I missed one of my turns and would up going about 1.5 miles further than planned. Also didn't know landmarks to know where each mile was at. I think maybe that was good, because I ran 8.4 miles (longest ever!) and I felt good and jogged a faster pace than I expected. Even today, my legs feel pretty good. YEEAAHH!! I think I always slowed myself down because I was afraid I would run out of steam completely. As far as biking, I had decided on 100 miles ... do a century ride in a month! However, Ann, thanks to you I will try for 110. It is good to be back in the Village! Thanks for being here. Welcome back Dee - you have to look at the old thread and see you new title - I forgot what it was but I am sure Ann(e) remembers - she is good like that! Great job on the run! x2 on the welcome back I believe Dee was the Secretary of Transportation, you know, swimming/biking/running. Ahh, nice! thanks |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (biking) Madness!!! Hey everyone, I should have posted this last night, but I owe you all an apology. My kids do a fundraiser for school, it's called The Race For Education. All the kids need to bring in labels addressed to people to send a letter to about this fundraiser. There are prizes offered for the kids who bring in so many labels, they are added to drawings and such. Anway, I was filling out the address labels for the kids and I didn't have enough for them to be entered into the drawings so I added some Ghoulie addresses to the labels. I'm really sorry. When you get the letter from the school just pitch it. 1,000 apologies to you all. I know I should have asked beforehand but they were due tomorrow. Edited by ironannekidd 2010-03-01 10:16 AM |

When you get the letter from the school just pitch it. 1,000 apologies to you all. I know I should have asked beforehand but they were due tomorrow. no problem for me! Hope they win something! Thanks Dee. The kid in each grade that brings in the most addresses wins a limo ride to school. The first year they did this fundraiser we wrote down addresses of everyone we know. My mom gave me her address book, we used a lot of those, my sister was in Japan, she sent us addresses of her friends there. We had almost 300 labels for my son. The girl who won had over 1,200. Her dad owns a business and they used all his business contacts. Now that I have 2 kids we have to split them up, but I don't even try to get the most. Just enough so they can each be entered in the drawing. This is the third year for the fundraiser. The first year the PTO's goal was $20,000. They made $42,000. Last year the goal was $30,000. They raised over $50,000. I'm not sure what the goal is this year. What they do is send out letters and ask for donations. No selling of anything. The kids have an hour to walk/run/skip/whatever around the track. Donations aren't based on laps, no one keeps track, except the kids themselves, but they have fun. Last year, in Kindergarten my daughter did 6 laps in an hour. My son was in 3rd grade, he did 16. I did laps with both kids, it was easy then, they were back to back. This year one is in the morning and the other is in the afternoon. I'll be there with both kids though. |

I need to look at the half mary training plan and work around that. I don't have any cold weather biking gear, so it is going to have to warm up a lot before I bike outside. Gotta run. Will catch up in a bit.

IM A NEW WOMAN! its all good. and i met the HIPPEST COUPLE here at Mad Mex today. she recognized the scent of my lotion. i always know the person is gonna be uber hip when they do i shared with them about Josephs tour...apparently she suffers from migraines. theyre going to make a point to make it to one of Josephs events after i told them about his work/that he could help. then they shared with me about a CSA/Organic Farm where i can get a bushel of organic produce 1x a week, May through September for $450. SCHWEEEEEET! AND i was able to share guest passes to the Y wth them. they've been wanting to visit/join. SCORE ONE FOR THE Y. and the husband was a competitive swimmer and looking to get back into it, so i was able to pass on info about the Masters swim team i LOVE these seredipitious encounters. the make my day for sure. stacieb Hey Stacie! I'm starting to think Mad Mex should put you on the payroll. With all the folks you meet there and the extra orders that come as a result, the least they could do is give you a commission! Seriously though, sounds like you had a cool afternoon! She should get free drinks for her VILLAGE! I second this motion! |
