That's what happens when you're trying to herd cats. Not much. Hope that worked out well for you. I never have too much luck with it personally. These were work *cats.* I'm trying to get a project off the ground and the inertia/lack of enthusiasm is amazing to watch. My housecats actually are better behaved, most of the time. Off to run. Have fun on the run! And I knew what you meant. I've dealt with those *cats* at work myself on occasion. Still sends shivers down my spine. |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! I swam after work today and then got outside for a ride after that, completing my trifecta of workouts for the day! We ended up getting darn close to 60 today. They had said 50 for a high this morning. This is one time I'm not complaining that the weatherman was wrong |

Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! EVENING GHOULIES. finished up a mighty fine day all the way around. nice 1 hr spin this morning.....a little bit of grocery shopping and an afternoon nap. nice 500 yd swim followed by a challenging 1 hr spin followed up by a 1 mile run. not bad in a days work for this triathlete. woot! meeting up w my friend again for lunch tomorrow - the one who took me to lunch last week, said i make a tri suit look good, ya that friend gonna pick his brain about the tri im considering. yes. really. that's what im gonna do. he's done the race a few times in the past. im really bogged down trying to decide between the Sprint and the Oly distance. after Sundays performance, i think that i can go into the Sprint distance and do really, really well, maybe even place in my age group, would that be the BOMB? it would certainly do a lot for my ego/confidence...and wouldnt require too much more in terms of training mileage/pace wise which is good. though....the Oly distance would be a nice challenge as well. but i would have to amp up at least my mileage....and get in some longer rides once my bike is back from the shop. decisions. decisions. decisions. i know im capable of the Oly distance nodoubt, and i have the time to put towards the training, im just not sure i have the ENERGY right now to amp my training. i know i can go into the Sprint today and do well. im thinking that it might be best to just consider my current circumstances and go w what feels doable. i really have no need to go out and prove anything to myself. Sundays race was more than enough confirmation/affirmation of all the progress ive made and just how much the hard work has paid off. again. decisions. any feedback from the Village is most welcome. stacieb |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! Good morning Ghoulies! I had a great evening, but there was no run. Last night nibbling babies, seeing my sister, and spending time with a friend were more important. There WILL be a run tonight! I've been trying to plan out my weekend with being at my sister's, going to the multisports expo, picking up my bike, going for a bike ride, and now cheering my BIL and nephew on in a 5k. So what I'm thinking is I'm going to leave work early on Friday. Then I'm going to head to the bike shop and get my new girl. She will have to spend the night with me at my sister's but she'll be ok. After the 5k Saturday morning I'll head to the expo then home, I'll snap a few pictures and then I'll be off! That's the plan for now anyway. Have a slam dunk day Ghoulies! |

Do I think you could do the Olympic? Yes. My vote is for you to do the sprint. You can only handle so much. Doing well in a sprint is far better than stressing about an Olympic. There will be other races at better times for you. You can do an Olympic then. |

The MCL doesn't hurt when I walk like it did, my knee just feels sort of like it needs cracked or popped. If you've ever been a knuckle cracker my knee feels sort of like my knuckles do when they need cracked (if any of that makes sense). I keep thinking if I can just get it to pop it will feel better. I plan on taking it slow tonight when I go out. Thanks for asking. |
