Need Guy Advice (Page 2)

Ok- so actually af friend of mine from church knew him and wanted to set me up with him awhile ago- like a few months ago.  She told me all about him and mentioned his name, but at the time I wasn't interested in meeting anyone.  We have mutal friends- I know his friends from his church.  So it's not like he's ever been a complete stranger.  We know the same people, we just hadn't met.  When I joined the gym I met him- I introduced myself because my friend told me he worked there.  That's how we started talking.  We don't talk a whole lot at the gym because when I go he's working- and believe it or not, he's really professional at work and keeps socializing at a minimal- despite the dramatic story (Welshy's excellent writing style had rubbed off on me- lol) I wrote.  After about 2 weeks, we exchanged numbers.  Actually it was more like we talked about meeting to swim again, and in an indirect way he was asking for my number so he could get ahold of me.  So I gave him my digits and told him to call me if he wanted to swim or run.  Like I said, if we didn't have mutual friends and people didn't say good things about him, I wouldn't waste my time on him.  But I've heard nothing but good things about him.  And actually I'll be seeing him this weekend at a church event, so I'll get to socialize with him in a different setting.  So far he hasn't acted inappropriate and we haven't even gone on a date so as far as I concerned it's completely harmless.  We just have hang out and have fun, which isn't a bad thing. 

Janelle, after reading your post about Gym Slut, I have faced some hard truths withing myself. The jealousy I felt on reading this thread has affected me in ways beyond counting. Since you posted this, I haven't been able to eat, I haven't slept, my training is suffering, my stomach hurts and all I think about is you and that loser/stalker gym rat giving eachother by candle light while listening to barry white....

I'm almost happy that this happened so that I can get my undying love off my chest.  DO NOT GYM SLUT!!!!!!!!

Oh my- I didn't realize that people can interpret the word "massage" several different ways.  I guess you learn something new everyday.  Well, I just mentioned to him that my arms were sore, so I guess that falls under the "shoulder rub" category.  Harmless...

Gym Slut Guy actually likes Janelle. Don't worry people. The post was all a joke, just making fun of Welshy's inablility to talk to women especially when blinded by girls in slutty pants. She doesn't want our advice, she is handling the situation with him very well.
