Laptop Shopping Help? (Page 2)

Today I took the plunge and bought a laptop from BestBuy. 600 with everything. I'm excited for it to come. Sort of anxious about paying for it, I hate carrying a balance on my credit card...HATE IT.

Well, heck, you coulda had my G3 for $200 or so. It's doing okay on ebay, up to $212 at the moment.

i love macs, and would recommend that you look at the ibook. platform change isnt that difficult. when i did it and i wondered how to do something i though "if i was a 16 yr old girl how would i expect this work." it never failed. when i wanted to approach it technically (old linux kid), i could drop into the terminal and be the SU. i love it!




i hate to say it, but its not that the program runs better, cus well its BS. i work on Dells and deal with all the "best on mac" apps. they run fine on PCs. but i still love my mac, BC the platform is so superior, its like linux, except complete!

That's okay. I about had a heart attack the first time I opened Terminal in OSX 10.0 and saw a command line on my Powerbook. Heaven is a *nix prompt.

i remmember my first time too... it was in jaguar.....
