runnergirl29 - 2005-12-01 11:10 AM I didn't think this was a fiar poll. I mean, you're not giving the Bt'ers a chance who can't play during hte day. You need the leave the poll open until tongiht so that you get representative results.
What are you in Florida? There's no recount.

Ok- so in other elections they don't close the poll when they find out their person is in the lead.  Why don't you follow the norm?  You're such a cheater   I'll just make my own poll and keep it opened longer than yours...

The Gyro all the way. It stays with you much longer than any burrito can.

Here's my analysis of pluses and minuses for each item:
Burrito:
+ Meat, rice, salsa
- Beans, torilla, sour cream, cheese

Gyro:
+ Tomato, cucumber, yogurt sauce, flat bread
- mysterious ground-up mix, lamb

Therefore, I would have voted for shawarma if that was one of the options. I ended up voting for burrito, and it was a tough decision.

Burrito. The bread's too thick on a gyro. My next choice would be a quesadilla. Mmm. Cheese.

Nothing beats the cucumber/yogurt sauce. YUM.

I had a gyro yesterday. SMOTHERED in that stuff.

Sister I love the stuff. The vote right now is tied, so I feel like the gyro has won this round. Only uncultured swine would choose a burrito (no swine in gyros - only burritos).

The burrito is to the gyro what a Chihuahua is to a Labrador.

I bet RunnerGirl has never had a gyro. If so, she would change her vote in a heartbeat. Burrito vendors try to impress you with size. Gyro vendors impress with taste.

Couldn't their be a beautiful marriage of the two? Imagine how tasty a Gyritto could be. Let's brainstorm the ingredients, kids. Clearly, the base ingredient has to be gyro meat (spiced lamb or lamb/beef mix). What's next?

that would be a turkish/egyptian dsih called a durem... they put doner/gyro meat in a tortilla with veggies and a sauce... i eat those ALL the time here in belgium... i got my wife and kids hooked on them too so life is good!!!

Runnergirl, can we put this debate to rest? It's clear the Gyro is better than your beloved Burrito and should now become the official handheld food of BT.

Chucky,

Maybe it has something to do with being in the south but I have never even seen a Gyro (is it pronounced Hero???).

Nashville has no room for Greek people as we are all busting the seems with illegal mexicans and there mexican resturants at every corner.

So did you vote for the burrito??  Honestly I don't even know if I can order a gyro anywhere here.

Pronounced "euro", so so good. Sorry about your illegal problem. That's a topic for another thread. This thread is all about rubbing it in that Runnergirl's burrito fetish can't stand up to the mighty gyro.

I don't know where to find a decent gyro in Eugene, OR.. I think you owe me a gyro for the craving you created.

Next time you are in Los Angeles, I'll have a gyro waiting.

Where's your pic Chris?  You HAVE TO post it.  Also, notice there aren't any gyro eating pics on this thread.  Hmm...maybe the gyro isn't all that great.  We don't have any evidence at this point that BT'ers even eat them!

I have nothing of use to add to this thread except for this:

The title of this thread, when seen from the corner of my eye, appears to read: "Burrito vs. Gyno", which is a totally different poll indeed.
