southernaquagoddess - 2006-01-25 3:40 PM Amateurs....your filling fell out and you've got to run in for an emergency dental repair.  You'll be in, just later than expected.

Side note to Jim's post:  At my place if you are going to be sick for more than a day you go see a doctor and I'll cover your out of pocket expense.  My key people know that they can have whatever time off they need and it keeps the not-key people from abusing sick time off.  As far as my cost goes it's worth every penny.

You must have a high turn over for your not key people. How do you even get those people to work for you?

 You're a tough triathlete.....no novacaine required.

I attribute my low turnover to the fact that I offer a good job at a good place to work and I tell people up front what is expected and I try to eliminate people from consideration who will not fit in during the interview process, rather than after they are already employed.  After reading this it sounds like I'm taking a lot of credit for this.  I shouldn't because I benefit from being in an industry where most of the people are dedicated workers who are used to long hours and little time off.  The more you work the more you earn.
