Thanks for all the good vibes to kora. She is doing better. We took her to the vet yesterday morning and no change but her bladder did not look overly large on ultrasound so we opted to wait till evening. She did not go all day so we made the trip to the vet last night again. They took her back and the vet tech walked her outside just to check and she decided to go (after she got another ultrasound) and peed so long the tech had time to get out her phone and take a picture to show us . .

Next we had to worry about her not pooping though. Vet suggested an enema and we agreed so they took her back to do that and as they were getting it ready she pooped! The vet tech said it was the size of a small child and she weighed almost 6 pounds less after doing all of her business than when we brought her in last night.

Now we just have to figure out if my wife and I can still run our half marathon this weekend or if one of us will be on doggy watch duty instead (and it is one we are traveling to - at least we stay with my wife's parents so can bring the dogs but don't want to burden them with taking care of her.)

Now, see, wasn't that nice, she left the clinic with everything to clean up/dispose of instead of you.  What a thoughtful doggie Wink  Glad to hear things are going ok and I hope the folks are willing to care for the fur-grandchildren so you can make your race!

Glad she is on the mend!

I will share a tip my vet has given me to help in both ends of the poo (none or too much) cycle.    Pumpkin.   Canned pumpkin.    It is a gentle moist fiber food that dogs like (especially with some soft dog food or other goodies in it like chicken broth and brown rice) and it helps move things along if needed, or bulk it up if it is moving too fast.   If my dog eats something weird by accident, I give her pumpkin to move it along and out.

Glad to hear Kora is doing well.  She is lucky to have such great doggie parents!  Healing vibes from the pig ninjas (my doggies)!

she feels so good she is doing the three legged hobble all over the place, and is pretty fast at it. the vet is a little unhappy though because Kora is a picky pooper and takes forever to do her business, always has, so taking her out to do her business, which is the only exercise she is supposed to do right now, means a 20 to 30 minute hobble around the yard.

This dog is nothing but trouble! (in a good way now)

That blows... but the updates are good. One dog I had took the others bone... which they always did without any troubles... but that one ended up in a $2700 vet bill. She had a tooth broke off in her arm and the other needed a root canal. It definitly sucks seeing them injured. Glad she is making a good recovery. It's really hard to keep them down for long. Best wishes on full recovery.
