Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Hi there, glad to hear she is doing a bit better. My old border collie had neuro issues as well--he was weak on his hind end as he got older, but then one day could barely stand on his hind as yours. No head tilt or other issues like that. I had an MRI done, and no cause was ever found. We did some blood tests to check for Degenerative Myelopathy (mentioned above) but that wasn't it either. The neurologist spoke with a radiologist as well, and no one could tell me what the issue was. I am a vet tech and am lucky enough to have a vet friend who is certified in acupuncture. Four treatments and I no longer needed to walk him with a sling. Continued with treatments biweekly to monthly and he did great. He was never as strong as he had been, but could go for his regular walks without help or stumbling. Something to check into after all the tests are done--check with your vet first of course! Best of luck to you and your pup; sounds like she is a well loved member of the family. |

She was walking much better this morning even but still week in the back legs, but better. taking it slow with her. She has been having issues eating in the morning - good appetite but can't seem to eat out of her bowl for some reason (no problems in the evening though) so I have been hand feeding her the last few days. She actually tried to play with out other dog a little this morning so that was nice to see. |

If the food bowl is on the floor, try raising it up a little bit, on a stack of magazines or a small pedestal (like a kick-step). |

She has a raised platform she usually eats from but since this started has mostly been laying down to eat. I will see about adjusting the bowl height while she is laying down tomorrow morning and see if it helps at all, thanks for the suggestion! |
