The ever universal answer to questions about buying another pair of shoes, having her family over, etc...

A poll of 23 women results in the No. 1 thing women do not want to hear:

If you hadn't bought it, it would have been 100% off.

Me walking about my LBS... a guy spots me...

Guy: OH! Hey! You rode Thursday night on the Christmas Lights ride, didn't you?

Me: Yea! I did!

Guy: I only saw you for a second, but I totally remember your really high forehead.

Me: Gosh, thanks.

rbschlesinger - 2006-12-28 3:42 PM I didn't know I was supposed to warn you.

Oooh.  My SO could've almost used that this morning in our spat about NFL vs. Skiing.  I never thought that it was unreasonable to suggest a ski weekend in January while he now considers any out-of-town Sat/Sun plans during "NFL playoffs season" too intrusion on his couch-time with his best friend, another avid NFL fan.

Maybe he didn't let on in our earlier years together just how much prime importance he put on football games, but I think he could easily say now:

"I didn't know I was supposed to warn you that I'm a huge NFL fan."

Ugh, it's so lame and trivial to fight over such things, but I feel like he's showing his true colors now, and I don't like what I'm seeing.

Sorry to make this serious, but yeah there are lots of things related to the NFL that this woman doesn't want to hear right now.

My Girlfriend knows this. She knew right off the bat.
Home games I am done for the whole day but away games we can do things in the morning until 12:15 (ESPN Pregame). I explained it to her and now she understands that it is only 21 days out of the whole year.
