I'm coming off of a recovery week so the next 2 weeks volume will be pretty high.  I'm right on track with biking, but I'm a little behind on the running.  I'll tack on a few min to each of my runs to make sure that I make it.  So far:

BIKE: 7/17.5 Hours

RUN: 3:45/9 Hours

Hello Team Yellow-

Just wanted to say thanks to you all for being timely in keeping your training logs up to date.  Makes my life easier.  This is the end of the second week and everyone seems to be moving forward.  According to the rules of the challenge, anyone who hasn't logged training times for two weeks can be dropped.  Unfortunately, we have one such team member who I think is just too darn busy to do her paperwork.  The question is..is it time to drop Tacomaluv?  I hate to drop anyone but maybe she has had a change of heart about participating.  What does the team think?  Do we let it ride for one more week?  I have no idea what it does to our numbers.

Personally, I am on target on the bike and a bit behind on the run.  The running part will be resolved this week.

~40/150 bike   ~15/50 run

Good eve all,

Just wanted to check in with my numbers so far:

Bike: 174.04 miles //200 miles promised

Run: 41.71 miles//125 miles promised

I will get my running caught up this week and so I'll be on track to finish my goals by the end of the month. As for the missing Team member...has anyone tried to email them to see if they are OK?? or not able to get posted or something?? I would hate to drop someone if they are just having a bad start to the month. Just my 2 cents. Have a great week everyone!!

Chris-

I have PMed her a few times and I get the sense she is just busy and then went out-of-town.  I too don't want to drop anyone but I also want the the team to have concensus about it...especially if it affects the bottom line.  I sent another message today and will wait to hear what she wants to do. Thanks for the feedback.....

The results are out for week 3 and yellow is on top for the 2nd week! Way to go people.

I've caught up on my bike time now and should stay at or above target with my planned training.

Way to go Yellow team.

Alright Yellow.  We are at the mid point of the month so how is everyone doing.  I'm pretty close to 50% in both.  Here are my totals if I add in todays planned training.

Running: 4.83/9 hours ~ 53.57% Complete

Biking: 8.167 / 17.5 ~ 46.67% Complete

Biking I will catch up on this week.  I'm coming off a rest week so that is why I'm a little under 50%.  I have a little over 4 more hours planned for this week.

I'm currently 4/6 in bike and 44.4/72 in running, so I'm ahead of schedule in both. Doing what I can to keep us in the lead.

Hey Team,

My coach has put me on full rest until further notice.  I've been sick since last weekend and haven't logged anything!  I don't know what the rules are for dropping but I don't want to hurt the team.  There is no way to make up for missed workouts (and my coach doesn't want me to try) and I don't see how I'll meet my goals.    Sorry!

I don't think my coach is going to even give me a workout until next Monday.

Sharon

Sharon-

Get well and take care of yourself....I wouldn't worry about the challenge and making up for lost time.  As for dropping, I know there is a provision for stepping out if one gets sick.  Which can happen if you want but I don;t have nay problem with you hanging on and then just working towards weekly goals when you get started again.  The idea here is to  support each other to meet our goals.  Team Yellow is currently kicking butt and those of us who are healthy can hold the lead until you get back on line and provide that second half push next week.  The other teams won't know what hit them......

I am however just one voice here and think the others should chime in.

Jim

Electra, do what is right for your training and progress and don't worry at all about the challenge.  The challenge is just for fun as you know and no one here will wants anyone to hurt themselves tying to complete their challenge goals.

You guys are awesome!!  I really want to stay in but don't want to hurt the team with crappy percentages.  Today is the best I've felt all week and I emailed my coach to see if I can start running again on Monday.

This is my first Ironman, and when I read the Iron Distance threads I have an attack of the non-confidencitis.  My training ride for last weekend was monumentally disappointing until I remapped the route and found out my Garmin was off by 5 miles. Then it merely became sorta ordinary.

Anyhoo, plodding along this weekend, and I have a 15k TT tomorrow.  Volume starts going up again next week so I should be Ok to make it for the Mellow Yellows!

February's totals:
Bike:16h 50m/22Hours=76.5%
Run:5h 30m/12 Hours=46%
