Salut Credit Agricole....

With the prologue less than 24 hours away I thought i would let you know about the team you are representing and who some of their key players are!!

The Line up for the French Team is as follows:

· William Bonnet (France)

· Alexandre Botcharov (Russia)

· Anthony Charteau (France)

· Julian Dean (New Zealand)

· Dmitri Fofonov (Kazakhstan)

· Patrice Halgand (France)

· Sebastien Hinault

· Thor Hushovd (Norway)

· Christophe Le Mevel (France)

The team leader is sprint specialist Thor Hushovd won two stages in last years Tour De France and is one of the biggest contenders for the Green jersey after winning two stages in last years race including the opening prologue.

Because Im a little one eyed one other rider i HAVE to mention is Julian Dean, the only kiwi rider in the peloton and the New Zealand national champion

At the heart though, this team is quintessentially French and cheered on the roads as potential for French success in the Tour De France!

So I hope this helps you understand the team that you are representing with less than 24 hours til the prologue kicks off!!

Im going to be watching everything live as long as I can stay awake (its 10p - 2/3am here) so will drop in and let you know how the team is going if you are interested!

Have a great challenge!!!

Cat

Hey everyone,

I'm Cheri, and I'll (hopefully!) be riding 10 times. I have a bright orange Felt FW3 which I call "Hokie Spirit" -- I'm a Va Tech alum, Hokie is our mascot and burgundy and orange are our colors (UGH!).

I live in Florida, so there won't be any mountain stages for me!

Just got the ride back from the shop. 2006 Specialized Sirrus, recent 'upgrades' including new wheels (blew too many spokes to repair the old ones), new tires... rode holes in the last ones. i've also added clipless pedals and an aero bar. This bike is now made of FAST AND WIN.

I'll be watching the tour, talking smack... i'll leave to the pro's at first. emmental?

I think my avatar should be changed to show my emmental pride now.  I hope.  On the books for me tomorrow is a swim race in the morning followed by a bike ride.  I'm tempted to ride the trainer and watch the race instead of riding outside.  Is there somewhere to watch it online?

I hope everyone has a good weekend, and enjoys the start of the race .

Got the avatar changed - I think.... Let's hear it for team unity!

Yes, I'm headed out on my own tomorrow.  My schedule is usually freaky, so I tend to do my stuff solo.  Lets me be flexible when I need to. Though last week I ended up riding with a gal who just happened to be there and liked my jersey.  That was fun.  Vive Le France!

I did 27.5 miles today on rolling hills.  About 1200 feet worth of climbing. It was perfect weather for a change - sunny and almost no wind. It was ssssssoooooooo nice to get out there after all the rain!  One down - bunches more to go!
