Updates for me for the log...name is spelled w/ a "y" not "ie", I weigh in on Saturdays, and my WI for week of Nov 4-10 was 249.0.   My WI for the week prior (Oct 28-Nov 3) should be 251.2

my only advice would be to see if you can verify that it's a good fit for you. unfortunately I found out the hard way and bought a bike that's too big

but what a good price!

I am. I'm going to go after work this week and give it a whirl around the store and see how it feels. This may sound like a stupid question...but anything specific I should look for/think about when testing it out?

What I love even more is that I always have a loss (like 2 pounds or so) on my home scale the day after offical WI at WW.

yup...me too. actually, i've noticed that the scale will be going down, i go to friday night spin class and it's up on saturday morning. that annoys me to no end!

Okay -- I haven't been on a scale since my (happy) weigh-in on Saturday morning. But I took some, uh, liberties over the weekend, and I haven't been very disciplined with either eating or exercise this week. So I'm a little concerned... I can feel that I've gained some...

However, since I'm going to be out of town this weekend, I'm going to miss my regular WI. It's a good thing for me, right? I have another 10 days to compensate for my loose lips these last 5 days.

So here's my question:

Once you reach your goal weight, do you have to stay at/under it for 6 full weeks in a row in order to get lifetime status? Or do I just need to make sure that I'm actually at/under it at the end of 6 weeks?

And what happens if I miss one of those 6 weeks (which is likely anyway, regardless of my travel this weekend, because it involves t-giving and xmas...)

thanks, y'all!

If I recall correctly, you have to be at or below your goal for 6 weeks in a row.  After you are lifetime, you have a 2 lb overage liberty before you have to pay for that meeting.  Don't know about the missing the week thing.

From what I have seen at the meetings, you need to successfully maintain goal for each of the six weigh-ins... WW's way of helping you adjust to maintaining rather than losing weight.

Then, you need to do monthly weigh-ins, again, staying within the defined parameters for life-time.

You can drop below goal. You just can't weigh in at more than 2 lbs above goal. As long as you are goal + 2 lbs or less, you are fine.

Morning everyone! WI this morning was a success I guess I stayed exactly the same. I will take it, better than a gain. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Jana

Hello--2.5# loss this week. I've worked like a dog and had really clean food, so I actually expected a little more since this was like a start-up week...I'm not complaining, though--just verbalizing my unrealistic expectations (I want it all NOW!)

Have a great day!
C

Way to go! Congratulations -- and now I'm really inspired.

I had a pretty lousy week, foodwise. 3 receptions with buffet food (healthy and delicious, but caloric!) And I just sat in a coffeeshop all afternoon, where eventually the blondie bars just wore down my resistance. So I'm on my way to the gym... One bad week does not equal sliding back into my old habits. I just don't want the close proximity to my goal to be an excuse to fall off the wagon.

I'm really inspired by all of y'all, though! Keep up the good work, and I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I just stumbled across your thread. I hope you don't mind if I join you. My name is Lani and I lost 73 1/2 pounds on WW in 2001. I've still at my goal, but would like to lose the 10 I gained. I did my 1st tri in 2006 and was hooked. 4 in 2006, 2 in 2007 but focused on a century ride in August. Planning to step up from Sprint to Olympic distance in 2008. Yes, I've already registered!

Hi Everyone

Sorry I haven't been around much this week - too much posting on my challenge thread and this was also kind of a crazy week.

I didn't weigh in because I was traveling - don't think it was good news though, I have been horribly unmotivated - need someone to kick me in the azz!

Janna - good job on staying even, you are right, that is a success!

C - WTG, love to see the scale go down Woo Hoo

Lani - Welcome!

Sharon - good to see you

Terri - Good luck on your WI today!
