Just wanted to let you know I completed the race. Will post race report tomorrow. But until then: 500 meter swim 14 mile bike (50 mins) 3 mile run I posted my actual time/distance to the log. Dee, I suppose you will take care of the rest? Thanks! Have a great Monday, all! I've noted this on the spreadsheet. I added a calculation, so that your race amounts get counted double. I think I'm going to bank my double times from the races this last weekend and add them on at the end of the month. If I see the extra time already added, I'm bound to get lazy. OK, I'll let you handle that. Don't forget though! You EARNED that extra amount!!! For Charlotte's, I made a separate line to show her race amounts. That way, I won't get confused when I check the spreadsheet versus her training log amounts. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Team Olympic Onions Rings Shermbelle - 2008-04-14 10:17 PM 1) I would like to state my apology now to my teammates. I was signed up for IM CDA through the Community Fund and was training away for it, but I am the best man in a wedding the week before and cannot get coverage for my business while I was to be gone (my best friend and me have the same type of business and his brother covers for us when we go on vacation and his honeymoon will be over CDA blah blah blah) So I switched to IM AZ and thus totally changed my plan and am no longer shooting for the 822.7 club this months 2) which...... totally screws over all of you I will do my best to get in what I can but the need for a few 100 milers and 20 mile runs this month is no more. Sorry all, still kick some onion a$$ for me! I've added some red highlights to your post.... 1) Yeah, as soon as I saw that first line, I thought "Uh oh. Will I be needing that cattle prod?" 2) Not just "us" --> I'd like to remind you that YOU are part of this team too. We swim, or sink, together.... Plus, see item #1 above, regarding my cattle prod. 3) Eh well, life happens. Have fun at the wedding. Oh, and you owe us --> payment may be made via large quantities of Little Debbies cake products. We will need chocolate to console us if we don't win. 4) Since your training plans have changed, have you thought about pleading your case with Jen (Artemis)? She's the challenge organizer this month. She probably won't have pity on you, but it's worth seeing if she can be bribed with Little Debbie's. If she can't, well, figure out what she CAN be bribed with. LOL |

Your cattle prod is pretty useless on me for the strength workouts, since I didn't set any goals for it. Which... is really good since I've skipped just about every planned strength workout this month. |

I've got 5 hours and forty minutes of bonus race time sitting in my back pocket. Nah... it was pretty much planned. I tend to drop the strength training leading up to and just after events and races. I didn't do strength goals this month because I really wasn't sure how many I was going to do. I am planning on getting an hour in thursday, the morning before hill repeats. You know, because the harder the training, the less the cattle prod hurts. |
