Psst - you may want to tell her that she needs to be in the pics, too. Otherwise, you'll just get bike porn. This way, you can have.... Um. Nevermind. (Besides, if it's not suitable for a high schooler, I'd have to delete it, anyway. But I DO so enjoy stirring up trouble.)

heading out for a run here in a few minutes, goodness knows it's been long enough since i've been!!!! feeling guilty, and worried that i won't be able to go very long, i know that's stupid, since it's only been like three days, but whatever. it's freaking FREEZING in my house right now! we left windows open last night, and it got to the freaking 40's when i got up this morning my inside thermometer said 56-IN THE HOUSE!!!
ok. anyway, i'm cold. i'm going out running. i'm counting the days till my bike gets here!!

*oh yeah and nutella and ice cream--blech!! melt chocolate chips with peanut butter in it, and THEN put it on ice cream--oh baby!!*

Does anyone have any tips for my run tomorrow?  4 miles. I'd like to try and do a PR, but I can't really run consistently.  ANYTHING?

Someone told me that a good strategy in running is to distract yourself by trying to read the ages on people's legs. Find people in your age group and pass them!  i have not tried this yet but it seems feasible.

Good luck tomorrow, you will do great! Think about coming back here and posting what a great race you had!

Oooh. That's a good idea. See my music distracts me big time because I tend to sing along in my head and before I know it I've gone a mile.  I want to have a good race after the poopy time I just seem to be having lately.

More of that delicious looking icecream?

Seriously ------ do not look at your watch/garmin -- in fact put a piece of tape over the face and run by feel. You would be amazed at your time when all you worry about is running and how you feel

Yes, yes it is! I swear - we are heading to the beach tomorrow and a trip to the commissary on the first day. I KNOW they have Nutella and I KNOW they have ice cream. I.CAN'T.WAIT!!!! MUCH better than blizzards from Dairy Queen....and much cheaper! Lemme see...maybe some chunks of toffee in it, too???? (I love toffee).

Ok, so the 7 miler was slow, but I think I needed to take it easy.  It is a beautiful morning for a run, so though I didn't want to do it I am glad that I did.  This afternoon I plan on getting a short swim in and a bike ride this evening.
