I really like the table, though the background could use some work...at least from my male perspective.

I know I am quoting myself here, so apologies, but could we also get the Ghoulies who are mentoring listed too?  We all want to harass you in addition to each other!  Money mouth

Yeah... you just wanted to admire the picture again, didn't you?

I can probably put something together over the weekend. I'll have to find an appropriate picture to use for us.

Another brick in the wall tonight.  Definitely getting easier.  ANy ideas how to keep my toes from falling asleep on the bike?  I've read moving the cleats back helps but I haven't tried that yet.  FWIW I use spd cleats and my mtb shoes with my road bike.  Any compelling reason to switch to road shoes my first year in tri's?  After a wetsuit, road bike, lots of clothes, HRM, USAT membership, and a few race fees, I was trying to save a couple bucks if I could.

I'm not certain what the differences are between the shoes but, unless you are really going for a podium spot, I think using the mountain bike shoes should be fine.  Maybe one of the more experiences folks will chime in (please!) if I am wrong.

I wouldn't worry about the shoes at this point. If you find this is something you LOVE and you are going to do it for awhile, then maybe down the road you might want to get tri shoes.

The numbness could be from pinching your sciatic nerve while on the saddle. I know there has been talk of this in tri talk, but I don't remember off the top of my head what people suggested.

I have some things to do now, but I can try to do a search for you later to see if I can find the tri talk discussions about it.

Agreed on the "male perspective"!!  Having only finished 1 sprint Im no triathlete, so whats the point of even wearing a "shirt"?  Or is this more of a joke?  Man he looks like a sissy!

Man I hope thats not one of our members too.

I thought of my mentor group when I saw some really nice porch lights while walking around during my lunchbreak.

haha, don't tell my wife.  Today she mentioned power washing the house and fence.  Must procrastinate on the lights a little longer......

Wait, is porch lights another code name for something or are we referring to the porch light project?

Down in Florida today. My BF's son is getting married, so its like a big comical family reunion. The ex wife's family is all here too, of course. Last night was the rehearsal dinner, I thought it went pretty well. Drank more wine than normal and had a hard time rolling out of bed this morning for a run. It was worth it though, ran up the beach on a sidewalk and there were a lot of other runners out there too. I am not used to the humidity yet.

This hotel has a pretty nice pool too, I hope to get a swim in before all the kids and tourist types take it over.

Fine Bill

Send me a half naked picture of you and I'll take care of it!

wgraves7582 - 2010-04-16 10:16 AMBack from my ride and it went great - no flat (the streak ended at 2 in a row but that is 8 for the year I think ) and I got to play on the dirt all by myself. I got a wee bit wet but all is well - happened before and I am sure it will happen again!

I think Bill is returning to normal - watch out - LOL!

Sultan scares me!!!!

Going to try to get some training in this weekend BUT going to go buy myself some birthday presents tonight.  Volunteered for a youth Triathlon tomorrow, figured would be some fun to help out with.  Then have actual birthday dinners on sunday & I still have to find time to add in a birthday drink.
