Bad and busy times at work have cut waaaaay back on my internet time here. For what it's worth, I've never seen a round field in New England or New York. I don't think I ever saw any even when I visited my parents in North Carolina. Maybe the crop type has something to do with it too... Anyway, hope all are well. I just clicked the button to receive updates (I was wondering why it got so quiet in here ) so I'll be able to follow along and chime in from time to time. Hey Shawn, been meaning to ask...you live in Queens right? Do you ever do any of the NYRR races? I've been a slacker this year, but the Central Park races are a blast. The tats and piercings are far more interesting than any in Jersey. I'm a guy who came into tri's sucking at all three events. While I've been able to become adequate in the bike and swim, I am still all sorts of horrible on the run and have never considered doing a road race up to this point. That being said, I do need to improve so I just recently started thinking about doing some of those events next year. It's good to know that the scenery other than Central Park will be interesting! Shawn, I suck at running and swimming. Passable on the bike. I am a turtle on the run and a sinker in the pool. Since I do most of my running alone, I like an occasional race to help me push pace. I'm still a BoP, but I think it's worth adding into the plan. NYRR has races in all the boroughs, but CP is easy for me to get to on the weekends and is a great place to run. Plus, they attract all levels. I checked your logs, you will not be even close to last for any of their races. |
