But Scout may have other ideas. (Who's Scout?)

Actually, I'm sure it will be very lovely for you ... the rhythm will just carry you along. I'm really amazed at how well you've rehabbed.

You tell us!

As for me and rehab -- cute Dr. McSporty, cute Dr. McSurgeon, and Coach "super yummy hot guy"  turned me into a runner.  Now I am working on being a fast runner.

I'm really sorry to hear that. The support of your family is one of the things that makes this possible and even more fun. Have fun at the race and have a great day.

Hm.... bring a camera. Ask people to take pictures of you. Make sure you're smiling in each one. (Grimacing counts.)

Later, show pictures to DH, so he knows how much fun you were having. Maybe he'll be jealous. YOU were outside, enjoying the nice weather. HE was inside, studying.

Or, you can always post the pictures here, so your team can applaude your efforts.

(Yes, I'm here again. 'Cause my Apples team is sleeping in this morning. Nooooo posts at all from them, so I'm hanging out here instead.)

Oh, and good luck in the race today! Have fun!

Dee

So after a slow week with being under the weather and traveling for business. I got in a 23 mile bike and 2 mile run in this morning. I'll probably get a mile or 2 in tomorrow.

Most of the staff from the various AFF facilities were race volunteers and one of them from the gym I go to took a picture on my way up the hill so I have a chance at getting a copy from her.  It's a small race, not nearly as many folks doing this one as the other 10 K I do in the spring but the cars were stinking IMPATIENT BUGGERS waiting to have full roadway.  I had fun anyway because the volunteers were awesome and encouraging.  This brings me to 26.52/40!

Here's a bump and a race update.  I finished in 28 something. That is a PB for me to date!!!! I forgot my watch this morning and forgot to look up at the clock when I came across the finish. You'd think I'd learn.  I was extremely proud of my daughters today too.  Ashley did her mile in 8:12(she's 15) and Abby did it in 8:24 (11). We had a blast and I talked another run challenge person to go along with me.  marymosc is down visiting from NJ.  Her family came to the house so we could finally meet and I talked her into going. We have known each other (web only) since my first race last year.  It's so cool to finally put a personality with an avatar!!

Congrats on the PB

That is so cool!  What a wonderful day with so many things to feel good about!

How great that you could meet one of your BT friends in person - there are many folks on this site that I hope to be able to meet in person someday!

Even if we don't get the chance to meet in person, how great it is that we were able to meet at all!

:-)

OMG,

I realized that I must quickly make up for the error of my ways............my attempt at espionage bumped an opponent - (one that shall remain nameless) ahead of us in the post listing

can someone explain to me how this all works?

Hopefully this post 'bumps' us back up!!!

I don't know if I can explain it, but I found this clip inspiring.  I hope you all can relate -

Go Lisa!

I've never met Lisa, but I feel like I know her - I think you might also, in spirit.

ps

I participated in this event, it was full of encouragement and was a really positive experience, maybe that's why I sought it out

oh, and

Need More Cowbell!!!!

Go fast; he's on his way home!

Yes, I met Macca (and his baby) at the dinner, and met just about everyone else who came in the door since I was working registration.  Coach SYHG told me I looked beautiful, the TriLab guys gave me a discount, and I came home with the typical club swag.

Take CARE of yourself now that the big run is over...
