Ain't that the truth!

BTW my race report is up!

Something else to read today.  Cool.

My report is on my log.  I'm not real good at writing those things....

I did help some youngster with the last mile of the 5k.  He was just off my shoulder for a good mile or so, then finally pulled along side after mile 2.  He ran strong.

Eh, easy to do when there aren't many people....

First place was a teenage girl.  I never even saw her throughout the entire race.....

I read your log entry regarding your race.  I guess brevity is your strong suit.

Yes.  It is.

That, and I can't remember much of the details, anyway.  I tend to be fairly focused.  That, and there's not much of interest that happens.

Maybe you would remember more if you saved the beer drinking for after the race.

Scout's race report:

There were people.  They were running.  A couple faster than me.  Most slower.

I dunno, still a little verbose for me.  Stick to time, distance, pace, and what it was.

How do your trial times (or trail times in general) compare to road times?

Depends on the trail.  Yesterday's trail wasn't overly technical, so I could go a little faster.  I haven't done a road 10k in a while, so hard to say.  Based on times I've run in training, yesterday was a little off my faster training paces.  I did sub 7s for a 10 miler earlier this year, so with that in mind, I was maybe 45 sec off.  But I have trail times that are a minute or two per mile slower as well.

I was going to say the same thing.

BTW  how many miles did I say I would do? {80?}  I gotta know cause I am trying to decide if I should ride or run today.

The problem with afternoon meetings for me is that I don't want to start anything new.  So I end up sitting here, playing with the spreadsheet I'm tracking mileage on.....

My bad, everyone.  I gave Mike45 Mr2Tony's miles, and dropped goggles from the list.

This is now fixed.

Thanks for posting the totals Scout; Looks like we are off to a great start

Planned rest day for this kid but will be back out on the trail first thing tomorrow morning. Legs are pleading for more running and I have precious few miles left in the plan to keep them satisfied.

Surely Sunday's Run will satisfy the urge, but until then, it is going to be an interesting week for sure

I have the same problem in the afternoon, especially on MWF when I teach.  Some days I don't get back to my office until 1:30, then I eat, and then I don't really feel like starting anything.  So I try to look busy and plan the next day and the rest of the week or grade or something.

I ran 2.28 again today.  I'm sick, but I figured Scout would say HTFU, so I ran (slowly) anyway.
