Congradulations to everyone on there races this weekend!

I finished my second race on Sunday at the Buzzards Bay sprint in Cape Cod MA. Here is my race report.

oh ya! totally forgot. ate a GU 15 min before the swim. another after the bike. I did try something new on race day (which I know is the ultimate sin) but my daughter had bought some tablets that you dissolve in water to replace electrolites or something so I had that in one bottle on the bike and water in the other. After 2 sips from that bottle my stomach ached! totally strted yelling at myself for not tasting this earlier. It ended up NOT affecting me, but still....could have been bad.

just a few sips of water out on the run course, never felt too thirsty and had to pee since I got on the bike but didnt want to stop so I held it. If anything affected me besides my lack of training it was the discomfort of having to use the bathroom.

Will order me a copy of the book soon, and will send it to you to sign!

Congratulations on a strong finish at Branson 70.3.  Nice race report Billy.  Thanks for taking the time to share with us.  How much do you want for the little wetsuit and are you sure it's never been peed in?

There are two types of Tri swimmers: Those who have peed in their wetsuit and those who never admit to it.

Okay, has anyone here done Austin 70.3?  If so, gearing recommendation?  Talked to someone who did it several years ago and recommended a 12/27 cassette for the hills.  Really?

Well I had a very “high’s and low’s” weekend to close out my first triathlon season. I was scheduled to do the Amica 19.7 sprint in Newport RI on Saturday, but I was sidelined when I was taken away by ambulance while I passed a kidney stone on Friday. I mentally and physically could not pull myself together to get to the start line on Saturday, but I did get to see my friend take 27^th place at that race.

I also had a great experience at the SheROX triathlon in Webster MA. MAV (Mrs. Valle) invited me to come out and be a swim angel for that tri. I swam with this woman Beth from Pennsylvania. Beth tried to quit on me 3-4 for times, but we kept going and she finished! I got a big hug and a memory I won’t forget from that, hope she finished. Well just a recap from my somewhat tri weekend.

I had to take 30 minutes to catch up on the posts!!!!!

Lena ...GEEZE...OUCH...SHEET that makes me hurt!!!!!! Dont run a marathon...I dont care what your MD says. There are plenty of marathons. You only have one left foot...LRR

I pee in my wetsuit...Done..I admitted it long ago!!! They have a special cleaner so they dont stink!!!! I dont believe Billy either Lena.

Joel, thanks for helping me out today!!!! I am sure there are women who would have drowned without you!!!! Volunteering is a great way to give back

Speaking of volunteering...I booked my tickets to IMAZ. Volunteering in the medical tent from 9-12mn. Mark are you still planning on coming out to volunteer? I HOPE to get out to watch Bryan cross the finishline. I need to be up early to sign up for 2012...Lena, Gary....wanna sign up???? Who's in for next year???? How bout Amy and Billy???
