kns57 - 2008-12-16 1:25 PM I'm thankful I'm not having to look for a prince any longer. I wasn't very good at the dating game back then, now, I'd be a whole lot worse.

Im not a fan of the dating game... especially when people turn it into a game...

No wonder I havent been on a 'date' as such forĀ a LONG time.. P prefer something to just fall in my lap!

Yeah, that is kind of the way it worked with me and Frank. We worked at the same place and I knew he had a daughter, so I figured there was a wife out there. That meant that he was safe to talk to. LOL Little did I know that he was divorced and next thing you know, we are engaged. Funny how life sneaks up on you at time.

Sounds brilliant to me!!!

Yeah, and that was 27 years ago and we've been married for 26+ now. We had only dated for 3 weeks before he proposed to me.

Hi, NIBBlers!

A drive-by with frozen hands since I can't type very well right now.

Finished up with a 2 hour run in -6 deg F w/windchill. All is fine 'cept for hands - need better mittens next time.

Night! *HUGS*

I am SO dreading going to Wisconsin.

kns57 - 2008-12-15 9:32 PM Talked to my daughter on the phone. She is in good spirits. She did get to see the baby before they took him off to the other hospital, but did not get a chance to hold him. So considering all that, she is doing well. They told her the baby did drink the milk that she pumped and sent over. So that is awesome news. She should be coming home tomorrow and he will hopefully be coming home on Friday.

Yeah!!  That is great news.

What a nice surprise.    I wouldn't mind iif things worked out the same way for me.

I find the whole eharmony/match.com thing a little odd.  I don't think I would want to develop a relationship that was specifically to see if he/she was the 'perfect match'

People behave so much differently when they are focusing on developing a romantic sort of relationship.

I tried to add kitty ears to the hat for my brother's girlfriend.  Didn't really like them, so I tore them out.  I may have ruined the hat.

I'm trying to wash it now to see if that helps reshape the yarn.  If not, I am going to whip up a new one.  At least hats are very fast for me.  And I didn't really like the black yarn anyways.  It wasn't very nice and it's kind of boring.

Hopefully.  I really don't want another project.  Right now, I'm done with Christmas and have moved on to baby land.

I'm knitting a blue elephant for some friends who are having a baby boy in the middle of January.  We're going to stop at their place on the way home so I want to have it done then.

After that, I'm doing hats and booties for my friend who is having twins (hopefully) in February.  They may come earlier though like lots of twins.

I'm not really sure how I find the time, either.  I tend to knit any time we're just watching TV, so that helps with multitasking and not feeling like watching TV is a total waste.

Time to dig out all the winter stuff...

don't forget...cotton isn't the best when it comes to staying warm.  I recently purchased the most amazing long underwear.  It is merino wool and silk.  They are woven so that you only feel the silk against your skin.  The only time I didn't wear them the first couple of weeks is when they were in the laundry.  It may be the best clothing purchase I have ever made...it is right up there with my Chantelle bras.  When I have the funds to spare I will be getting some more of both.  The benefits of the BT challenges I have participated in has left me with only one non-sportsbra that fits.

I have silk long underwear from REI.  They are my favorites!  It's easy to wear under other clothes because it's so thin, but still keeps me really warm.  I also have a few pairs of flannel-lined khakis that are definitely going to be coming home with me.

Maybe I am just oblivious-you may have already mentioned it, but what's taking you to Wisconsin?

I don't think I have mentioned it recently. My family and my in-laws live in Wisconsin. Going home for about 2 weeks for Christmas. Planning on leaving Saturday.

That sounds wonderful despite the cold. Just make sure to take lots of layers.

I am excited. We didn't get a chance to go home over the summer, so it's been a year since we have been home.

Well Im off the opnion that a girl can NEVER have too much pretty lingerie... although my drawer seriously needs an update... on the list for next year I guess!
