I think I'll be doing no-impact stretching and core today. I had some dental work this morning and the anesthetic is starting to wear off. Not feeling up to any jarring.

I have seen some friends use the rollers and they say that yes, it is supposed to hurt a little. At least at first. I have not tried it myself, but expect that I will tonight. My trainer said that he would show me how to use one for after long rides and runs. They are supposed to help loosen up tight muscles and tendons in the legs and back, esp good for the IT band. At least from what I am being told. Supposed to really help with certain kinds of knee pain.

Ok. I saw someone using it the other day. She was laying on her back on it lengthwise. Actually looked like it might feel good.

I'm feeling better today. I got in a short run & some weights this morning. Now I have to wait until lunch time to get a shower 'cause my husband is sleeping in there (he worked a night shift). Ick!

Ah, the sound of snow shovel on concrete, a great way to wake up. We got just a little bit of snow overnight and my neighbor felt like removing it at 7 am. I'm not a morning person. And it was needless since ours (not shoveled) is all melted away now.

Since that put me in grump mode I passed up going skiing. Just as well 'cause I heard that my son was very whiney while he skied.

So I'm gonna go down and do an inside ride.

Then I have a date tonight. Yeah!

Hey everybody. Happy VD. Thanks for the concern. No, nothing of import was damaged in the basement. Been down that road before so now we keep everything that we value off the ground or in water tight containers. Had dinner with my sweetie last night sans kids. So in teh end that day turned out alright. Got a great workout in this morning, and now I can sit back and relax for a few hours till the kids get home.

Katie ~ we did the exact same thing...a staycation...only we did it Friday instead of Saturday!
