wgraves7582 - 2010-04-05 7:58 AM Morning Ghoulies - hope everyone had a great weekend.

I was so ready to come to work today that I woke up at 2:30am.  Lucky me you are saying right???  I even had a bowl of cereal at 3:00am and luckily got another 45 minutes of sleep somewhere in there before riding to work today.

I know you guys and gals are jealous of my sleep and dedication to work but I am so willing to share it!!!!!!

Either an alien creature has invaded Bill's Ghoulie body or his weekend had more drama than mine, Ann's, and Amy's combined.

And Tom's Good morning everyone. I had a "fun" weekend as well with drama, but I'm getting used to it. At least the kids had a happy Easter and I was able to spend some nice time with them. Especially during our first ever earthquake together! The kids actually both did really well and just hung out with me in the doorway until it was over. The water almost splashed out of the fish tank, but no other damage, thankfully.

Thanks Dee. It sounds like there was some damage and a couple deaths in Northern Mexico, but considering the epicenter was as strong as the Haiti quake it could have been MUCH worse.

Ugh!

I got pulled into a training session.

They guy who manages some software is leaving this week. Guess who will be taking over.

I don't mind. It gives me something to do and it's resume fodder.

They're good to go. They're probably more scared on a day-to-day basis by my wife and kids' cats.

question for the group

They are looking for mentors again from the end of April through the end of June.

I have thought about doing it, but don't want to do it alone. Would anyone want to help me mentor a group?

I wouldn't ask except I'm not allowed to be unsupervised around adults.

As much as I'd love to help out, I feel like I'd be much better off as a "Mentee." I was actually really bummed last December because I hadn't checked BT for a few days when they opened up the Mentor program and I missed out. Oh well - maybe this time.

I got into a group in January but after just a few posts, the mentor disappeared from BT.  A few of us tried to keep discussion going but the group pretty much dried up.  A few of us still keep in touch thru inspires mostly.  Maybe I will try again if they open up more groups.

What he said. From personal experience, your strategy sounds very similar to the one my parents used when they divorced. Obviously I have nothing against which to base my experience, but I think they did as good of a job as possible in keeping lines of communication open and creating as little animosity as possible.

It was tough when I was first going through it, but things "normalized" pretty quickly and everything was fine. Things will be just fine for you all as well. Just keep the focus on what's best for your little folks and everything will work out just fine.

'normalized' is definately the goal moving forward.

though the marriage didnt work for all the reasons that i didnt, thankfully we have a lot going for us as a family.

i keep telling the kids that some things will change and other things will stay the same.

the fact that we can be in the same room and we can still do things w the kids (going to the candy store and the pizza rootbeer picnic being an example) is a HUGE PLUS.

thanks for sharing your experience, TOM.

gives me hope for my boys that they'll be JUST FINE.....and so will I.
