Got in an 11 mile run. Last five miles was running into the wind. I was running late so I called my wife to come pick me up so we could make our appointment.

Here's one for you. We have the ladies by about 50 posts, but the ladies have us by almost 800 on views. I guess everyone is checkin' out the ladies (thread).

Have a good rest of the weekend and I'll check back on Monday.

Ouch! We had a cold front come in across the coast. The water temp in the ocean dropped 2 degrees in 2 days. Water was 52 degrees! The first 100 yards were a little painful on the ole face.

Now the wind is blowing, so my bike ride this morning should be equally painful!

Spreadsheet updated.

The wind isn't blowing here yet.  I rode my bike on the trainer yesterday.  I just didn't want to go out in that soaking rain.  Of course, it quit raining when I got off the trainer.

We've had rain forecast for the past week and for the first part of this week. Thankfully it hasn't rained since Friday night. Still pretty chilly though. Except for the wind it was perfect running weather yesterday. This is not typical weather for May.

Man, you guys are lucky. I got my butt kicked on the bike today. We probably have 15 MPH winds this morning coming off the Bay. So be it! It's better than having rain

Hey Wild Bill, nice training numbers this month. I was looking at the spreadsheet this morning and you have some serious numbers there. Good work buddy!

If this is me - thanks - if not Great job Bill - LOL

Tim - seriously consider Lake Placid and let me know.  When I get back in July all my training is going to be dirt and AZT-300 or Tour Divide Race training!  Would love to do an X-Terra!

Yeah YOU!

I'm checking airfare prices and looking into shipping containers for my bike. I thinking about investing in a hard shell box that will fit both my TT bike and MTB.

If the dates work out next year, I might try to do the XTERRA American Tour.

Bill is La Guardia the clostest airport in NY to Lake Placid? Would I be better off trying to look for flight into Burlington, Vermont?

Bill that weekend is open, its just going to come down to price. My wife and I have never been to NY, so it could be a nice little weekend get away for us. I could race and then do the tourist thing with the wife. All would be happy! I'm having trouble finding deals on flights though.

Good morning team,
Rough morning today... stayed up late to watch the finale of Lost (love that show!).  Then had trouble falling asleep.  It's amazing how, as we get older, one night's lack of sleep really kicks your butt.

I got a 1 hour trainer ride followed by a 1/2 hour treadmill run yesterday... followed by an hour nap.  Hopefully I can get to bed early tonight so I can knock out my long run tomorrow morning.  Lunchtime swim on the docket for today.

I have my first race of the season on Saturday... A sprint in Sea Isle, NJ... can't wait!

The finale was last night. Good thing my DVR records it. Now, I'll have something to watch when I do some drills on the trainer later!

Hey Tim. I think that cold front you were talking about hit us this morning. Got up early to go for a swim and it was chilly and raining. Not bad. I can handle that. I walk outside after and its snowing! Are you kidding? Snow in May! And its not like it the beginning of May, its the last week of May and its SNOWING! Yes I do like running in snow but not in May. Who ever stole the warm weather please send it back.

Oh and I also found a puddle of water on the floor in my bedroom when I got back home to change for work. My roof is leaking. Is it Monday or something?

Haven't watched Lost much lately but had it on my list to watch yesterday since we used to be BIG fans and had to see how it ended. Laid down for a nap and slept through it. Guess we'll have to watch it online later this week.

Haven't checked in for a while but not to worry I have been running .  Sitting at 140 km of 170 km (~86%).  Getting in 30 km this week will be a piece of cake and I will more then likely finish off the month somewhere around 185 km.

Which will make this month my biggest running month ever by far.  Also I haven't run further then 13.5k this month in a single run.  I've turned the frequency up to 5 - 6 runs a week and my body feels great.  I'm faster and stronger then I have ever been.

Did my 40k TT race yesterday.  Official results are not available yet, so I'll post a short RR once it's out.  I did make my goal time.  I came in around 1:10...and my goal was 1:12.  I actually should have crushed that goal, but it was super windy and raining during the race.  Steady 20-25 winds, gusting to 30+.

I've got some long rides planned this weekend, so my biking goal is in the bag.  Swimming should get taken care of with my next two masters classes this week.  My race goals are now at 100%.  It's just that darn running goal again.  I need 20 more miles...which I should be able to barely get assuming I stick to my plan.

Was planning on getting in a run during lunch but had to go to the post office to overnight something instead. Maybe a late night run after my meeting.
