Still going here. ~10.6 on the treadmill this morning (80 min run). Middle section was 5x5 min repeats with 1 min recovery. Started at 6 pacing and went slightly faster each one. Didn't think I could do it with the fatigue from all the mileage, but it actually went ok. Challenging, but I'm not gassed. Just took a long warm-up to get going.

After day 30, I took 1 week off, then ran 8 miles on Sunday - did 4.7 miles today.  Great runs...feel great.  I won't start another streak as I am starting a marathon training schedule, and when I train for anything, I look forward to my "rest days".

I will be running my first full mary on New Years Eve.  I know, I know - that's not a lot of time to get ready for a full Mary - but I am already at about 30 miles per week - so jumping into the middle of the training plan is no biggie.  I'm not training to qualify for Boston or anything...just getting the body prepared to run that long.

Just wanted to update y'all, and say congrats to everyone that has finished, is working on, or has extended their streak.  Keep up the good work...it's cool reading about your experiences.

I guess I get to start over after just 10 days, no way I was running today, got hit with a bout of food poisoning that has had me mostly locked down to my hotel room bathroom.

Well not start over - it's 30 runs in 30 days, so you can technically double up.

I'm not running today, injured foot needs to rest so that means some doubles towards the end!  I will not be beaten!

I jumped in on this late, had to nurse an injury.  But I wanted to add new twist.  No treadmill.  Outdoor runs only, regardless of weather or anything else.  Live in the northeast, with nice storm on the way.  Should be fun!!  (only on day 4)

I live near Lake Erie and I always run outside  with very few exceptions. They are when I am doing speed work and the snow is over 12 inches deep then it is dreadmill time and speed work when it is really icy once again it is off to the dreadmill. I do not run inside due to temps, rain or snow if I am just doing regular miles.

I run outside all winter too, I have a lab and he needs to get out so I don't have a choice.

You should join the Crappy Winter Weather Challenge.

33 days for me.  For the record - I never run on a treadmill.  In Texas, I look forward to Winter running - its Summer that really bites.

I'm jealous of you all who run outdoors all year long

I don't feel safe in the dark and the one time I tried it (and didn't get far) I was too freaked to enjoy the run

I enjoy running on the treadmill a couple times a week.......no thinking involved, and the only time I will wear headphones.  I just zone out.

Run # 12 in 16 days....missed four with injury - I will make up I promise..! Injuries felt better today.  And the beach was impressive, rain, wind, cold and waves crashing.  Got some sand running in too - ouch!  Tried to wade in the water but frostbite was imminent.

I spent all day today with friends, mostly eating (did I really need TWO cupcakes?), but at 11:35 p.m. decided I would not allow the streak to die on day 11, so threw on the Garmin and the running shoes and went out for 20 minutes of Z1.  Sure, it was less than two miles, but I got it done today and it still counts!

Day 341 and I had a great 14 mile run this morning. Feeling fully recovered from the marathon last weekend and ready for my first 50K in two weeks.

I haven't gotten back to the running every day thing, yet, but just to pass along the effect that it has had on my running (up until I dropped due to injury):

Just before starting this challenge I set a 5k PR of 23:03 on Sept. 1st.

I managed to do 25 days of this challenge, then had to essentially take two weeks off to let a foot/heel issue settle down.

Today, I ran another 5k race... set a new PR of 20:29.

That's 2:34 taken off of my 5k time in just under two months -- all because of this simple challenge.  During that span, I also set a 10k PR.

Run lots, mostly slow, sometimes fast -- it works!
